I have a buddy going to Europe for almost a month and he most likely wont be able to hoard a massive bottle haul from Belgium on his backpack, but he could get a care package together and ship it home, then go on his merry way. Does anyone have experience doing this? Most likely he'd be sending from Brussels to the San Diego area. Worth it?

Probably makes more sense for you to just order online. The bottle cost is pretty reasonable, it's the shipping that get's you. Besides, the packaging needs to be ridiculously thourough when shipping overseas. My most recent package was wrapped and packed as well as possible but the signed wooden collectible box still cracked in two places. Unless he is going to the one store that sells Blaebaer or finding something insane, then don't sweat it.

he will be in Copenhagen so Blaeber is a definite possibility. Anyone actually done it?

I'd recommend he pack as many Blabaers he can (if there's no purchase limit) into his suitcase. Just make sure the suitcase can withstand a two-story drop. Otherwise, order online as OneBeertoRTA (sorry about your Armand'4 box!) said. Last possibility is to have him come back with extra checked baggage. I've done this with 3 extra bags and hauled back 210lbs of goodies; it's pricey, but if you want it bad...

After looking at shipping costs, I'm planning to just bring back 12-bottle styro shippers as part of my luggage when I go next month. It's an international flight so me and my lady both get 2 50lb items free.
