I've got a friend that I would like to send a small box of beer to Finland. Is it best to use USPS FedEx or UPS for international? Best to have the cheapest but if a different provider handles international shipping better than I would pay the extra money.

I did try to search the topic and it seems like most of the past threads have been deleted.

Per forums, I believe you're always best served shipping internationally via USPS. Just look up shipping international.

Yea for sure usps. Weight is the biggest issues with international, cans are lighter than bottles.

AFAIK, there are no discernible differences between the various carriers. USPS is always significantly cheaper. A couple of things to keep in mind:

    1. Make it's declared as gift, not commercial samples, and mark the value below $25. Otherwise, it may be taxed heavily by customs.

    2. Pay close attention to the weather, especially in Finland this time of the year. I wouldn't ship low ABV stuff like lambic/sours in sub-freezing temp.

Looks like he didn't use International Priority Flat Rates. A Medium box would've cost $46.
