Hi, I read some posts here on shipping small bottles such as westvleteran or Struisse from Brussels and it was super helpful. I am in the US and I want to buy a case of Westy 12 and blonde, this is a birthday gift to my husband. Initially I was planning on buying it, during a layover for a few hours in Brussels(End of August). But since carrying it or shipping it seems a bit more complicated, in the limited time I have - I thinking of using this service- Etre Gourmet It is costing me Euro 55 to ship 12 bottles. I just wanted to reach if there are better option/advice I could get regarding this. Thank you. Any suggestion is much appreciated! Aradhana
I'll let somebody with first hand experience advise, but that store does have positive reviews on this site. Beer and glass are heavy, so shipping costs are going to be very high, $55 Euro sounds about right shipping via international priority. Figure 2-3 additional days to clear customs, usually less, but holds happen. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/27242/
I have used this place several times, shipping was always fast. https://store.belgianshop.com/7-beers
They seem to be on the more expensive side about Euro 22 as compared to Euro 12 at https://www.bieresgourmet.be/en. Thank you for your suggestion!
Yeah they are not the cheapest but I have used them 5 or 6 times and always got my beer quickly and everything packaged really well. I have never tried anyone else, this was a recommendation from someone else after I had looked for awhile. Best of luck no matter what you decide.
Last time I bought a 6pack of Westveteren 12, I paid $15 a bottle and $15 shipping. The source was in the US.
I will say after the first purchase you get a 15% off coupon every month. Like I said i have used them several times not for the prices but I was looking for a safe shipper. I had heard others mention packages not arriving and other issues with a few other sites and a friend had used these guys so I went with them.
