Shipyard Mint Chocolate Stout

Had this at sunset today. Reminded me of green NyQuil.

 

I had been wanting to try a mint chocolate stout ever since I'd heard that Stone collaborated on one. I should have known Shipyard wouldn't be able to pull it off though. I really wanted it to be good but it was not. It was a chore to get through 1/3 of the bottle before I finally decided to cut my loses and drain pour the rest.

 

Was able to try this for free at a tasting tonight. Vile. Cheap mint toothpaste filtered through the ashes of a 5-alarm chemical factory fire? Even the 2 reps doing the tasting (misc. holiday beers) were not fans...said something about Shipyard trying for 3 years this being the result, would hate to see what the early attempts were like.
