Flying in to San Jose and staying in Santa Clara this weekend to attend the 49ers game. I was planning on stopping at some local shops to find any and all Russian River beers, as well as any others I come across to bring back with me to Ohio.

Any favorites and/or recommendations I should definitely visit?

Bobby's , Kelly's , cask n flask off top. 408 doesn't get much RR unfortunately . Pliny is out today but gone by the weekend.

Santa Clara Liquors is nearby and will likely have 2-4 overpriced varieties of RR

Cascade & Almanac are available around town, you should be able to find those.

Santa Clara Liqours will probably have some of the RR sours at a hefty markup. Bobby's has a good selection of pretty rare stuff. The Wine Club has a smaller selection, but is reasonably priced and has Almanac, Cascade, and a good amount of Belgian beers.

Forgot to mention that Wine Club is also pretty much the only place to find Modern Times cans in NorCal.

Thanks for the info and locations everyone! I love the mark-up discussion too. Hate it, but was expecting it too.

If you really want some RR, I would recommend opening a thread on the ISO In Person trade subforum. The local BA's are likely to have a much better inventory than the shops. The bottle shops have very inconsistent stock and you will likely only find 1 type of RR beer, if any. No need to overpay, plus you get to share the beer wealth from your part of the country and meet a fellow BA'er! For most of the standard RR stuff, I don't think you would have to offer a whale to get some interest.

Maple wood is on my list. Seeing your suggestion makes me feel better about that choice. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd drink the Bangerang all night long.

Good Karma still has pretty much all the RR sours still from their re-launch event, plus lots of other good stuff.
