Bourbon Woodmaster will be Saturday only, so you'll probably be good.

So far, Bourbon Woodmaster, Pig Pen, Pineapple Pilsner, and Bourbon Hammer Jack will be Saturday only.

Pan Galactic, Bourbon Evil Urges, Bourbon Happy Jack, and Raisin Apollo will be Friday only.

My wife and I are going to both days of the fest. There will be a group of us there Saturday. I'm also planning to stop by on the 21st.

Did anyone try the BB Bludgeon Yer Spruce from a cask at the anniversary party? I thought that was not only the best beer at the party, but maybe even the best beer I've ever had at Shorts (and I'm a Bellaire local, so I try just about every single beer that comes on tap).

Was up there and had the Short’s Rare Beer Bottle Offerings:
    2007 Imperial Bloody Beer
    2007 Imperial India Spruce Pilsner
    2006 The Curl
    2006 Anniversary Ale Part I
    2012 Raisin Apollo

All were friggin amazing...Well, except the bloody beer which aint for me...But the 06 Anniversary Ale Part 1 blew me away...Also, the India spruce pilsner was amazing too...I usually dont like that beer..But something about this one was different..Maybe the age obviously, but wow..

So this beer has had me thinking of Hitchhikers, so I began watching the Old BBC Show.

    Is a 7.5 ABV Belgian Ale enough beer to bear the Pan Galactic name? Here is the description of the drink it was named after ;

"The effect of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon, wrapped 'round a large gold brick. It has also been described as the alcoholic equivalent to a mugging; expensive and bad for the head"

That minor disappointment aside, I will still be looking for this one.

Just a another little insight to why the name was chosen as well, its brewed with 100% Galaxy.

Yes, that was the main reason for the name, I believe.

No worries, I was disappointed when the Trooper came out as an ESB but managed through it. I am sure I will mange my way through my Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster disappointment.

I would imagine the Fallian Marsh Gas would clash with the Galatic hops anyway

Tough call for me, but I went for Black Cherry. It is delicious.

There are Coffee Stouts and Cherry Stouts out there that can help ease the pain of either of these two not making it to bottles but there sure as hell is not an adequate substitution available to us. We might need to remind Joe of his Kalamazoo ties and how friendly we are down here and hope he can make things right with a few (dozen) kegs.

Just tried Bourbon Hammer Jack and Sticky Icky Icky from the conditioning tanks. Wow...both are absolutely phenomenal. Those who are going to Detroit this month are in for a real treat.
