So now that all beers have been released I thought it would be cool to get peoples thoughts on this past years Shorts specialty releases. My highlights include Superfluid, I thought it was a great addition glad it made 2015, always happy to have had key lime pie in bottles. Can't go wrong with goodnight bodacious! Also enjoyed late summer addition vintage premium lager, its a good crushable session beer, lastly aphasia was amazing and I always love some juicy tree around the holidays! Bring on Dolly Dagger to start 2015!

Dolly Dagger? OMG!! You mean we hafta' see another bunch of new ones in bottles in 2015?

It was a great year, and I think I had all of the ones that were bottled for the first time in 2014. And the one that I looked forward to (which was its second time bottled) did not disappoint either - Gargle Blaster.

Mind was blown by Short's at their HopCat Detroit takeover.

My sister and her boyfriend always seemed down on Short's until then.

Freedom of '78 was fantastic. I hope that is another early release in 2015.

I missed out on Strawberry Short's Cake in 2014. I'm hoping to fix that in the new year. I also hope to make it to Short's for my first visit in the new year.

Publican amazing as always (really hope it returns in 2016), Bodacious a fantastic new treat for me, Freedom of 78 was their best spring release, Cup of Joe and Evil Urges both pretty great, and Aphasia was a rather good Old Ale (plus my bottle is a collectors item now). Liberator is also one of the best DIPA's I've ever tasted. Didn't drink much summer or Fall stuff, bust absolutely loved Night Wheeler. Biggest disappoints were Catherine and Cinnabilly, and Alien Einstein, but all is well. Look forward to 2015, can't wait for Woodmaster!

I was very happy with Superfluid and Wowee Zowee. Both were excellent and instant favorites. I was surprised I liked Alien Einstein as much as I did. Wasn't sure I would like a gluten free beer. Also was very happy with the Variety Packs. I was able to try quite a few that I had never had before.

On the other hand, I didn't care for Cinnabilly, Key Lime Pie, and Quasar Dank. Not that they are bad beers, just not my style.

I went about things a little different this year. I'd been buying almost every limited release in 2012 and 2013. This year I went with the new ones I hadn't tried and my fav's like MMMKay, Hopstache, Beard of Zeus, Lil Wheezy, and The Liberator. Think I am going to use the same strategy next year. I love trying anything new and different from Short's. So far I've tried 72 different beers from them, which seems like a lot, but isn't even half of what they have listed on here!!

Looking forward to another great year of beer from my favorite brewery. Thanks Short's.

Kind Ale goes down as my favorite harvest ale.
Spruce Pilsner incredibly balanced in flavor.
Cup of Joe smells/tastes exactly as it sounds.

I never complain about a release because not every beer suits every person. I am proud we had every release but aphasia and anniversary ale on tap. Next year we plan to have every release plus more. If we expand to 25 taps, we'll have 5 shorts on all the time

My top 3 bottle releases were Superfluid, Juicy Tree, and Cup a Joe.

Although I barely drank any, for it's just not my thing, Key Lime pie was spot on, as perfect as you can get (and the GABF judges agreed).

Dolly Dagger is the first for the new year and it is gooooooooooooooooood. The label art is one of the very best, too. 2015 is going to be a great year!

    Agreed.

Just got into craft beer at the beginning of this year, but managed to try 35 Short's brews! My top 5, in no particular order:

    Goodnight Bodacious
    Freedom of '78
    MMMKay
    The Liberator
    Cup A Joe

Those were in my overall top 20, as well. Strawberry Short's Cake was amazing on draft. Huma is great. Can't wait for 2015!

    Variety packs rule!

MMMKay is my favorite beer to drink while mowing my yard.

    Anniversary Ale is sacred.

Stache Bender needs to come back!

Spruce Pilsner & Juicy Tree are dank!

Cup A Joe climbed to new heights this year, outstanding!

Bring on the Black Cherry Porter and Sticky Icky Icky!!

Apparently I'm alone here, but I thought Cinnabilly was killer. Cup a Joe is my favorite coffee stout that isn't BCBCS. keep up the good work, Bellaire

Have to go with Mmmkay, Liberator and Cup A Joe in order as my faves this year. Seriously thought Mmmkay was one of the best (non big) beers I had this year, so, so good! If it were a year rounder I'd have a six in my fridge at all times.

Also liked Gargle Blaster fresh but after a month or so I think it took a nose dive.
