Shorts 2014 release thoughts!

Only started getting into Shorts about a year and a half ago, so last year was my first full year and can't compare to other years. Out of the 59 brews they put out in bottles (including Stachebender), I was fortunate enough to have all of them, so I call that a fantastic year!

Top 5 in no order - Freedom, Goodnight Bodacious, Juicy Tree, MmmKay, Cup of Joe
Biggest Surprise - Stroker Ace. That stuff was awesome and wish it would replace Prolonged as a year round 12 pack brew
Biggest Disappointment- Not buying more Freedom, Juicy Tree, MmmKay
Biggest Beer Disappointment - Cerveza. Was so wanting to make that my summer go to, but something was just off from previous years. Not as much lime flavor. And while it was good, Pan Galactic was different. More belgiany than the previous year. The 2013 batch was one of my all time favorite brews, but this year, not so much.

I see Empress Catherine listed as a disappointment. It was for me at first, but then I let a bottle sit for almost a year. After a year it was fantastic. Wish I had let the entire six pack sit.t

Looking forward to 2015 and finally getting to try Woodmaster, Carob Stout, and Black Cherry Porter!

 

I was sad there was no Peaches & Creme in 2014 =(

 

I only caught the better half of the summer onward, but Short's definitely impressed me.

My 2014 favorites, in no particular order (except for #1 that is)…

Superfluid (I'll buy at least a case this year)
Wowee Zowee (I think this surprised a lot of people)
Hopstache (Can't get enough of this one, so how about bottling StacheBender in a variety pack?)
