How wide of of a distro do they have in Michigan? Will i be able to cross the border from NWI into New Buffalo and find their year round stuff/seasonals? Or even things like key lime pie or peaches and cream?

    Thanks and Cheers all

Depending on the specialty beer, those go very fast. Usually within a week. The more common beers should be available nearly everywhere. Pretty much any grocery store that has any craft beer at all will have at least 3-5 variety of Short's.

EDIT: I was being a little vague because I don't know that area and it's stores particularly well. You shouldn't have too hard of a time finding the regular lineup though.

Bud & Elsie's is a gas station/c-store in New Buffalo right on the main drag, and right at the center of town is the New Buffalo Pharmacy that has a grocery store attached. I just saw a post that there is also a place called Barney's but I don't know anything about it.

As described above you'll find the year-round Short's beers there, but the seasonal beers may be not-so-easy to get.

No problem! You'll find us Michiganders to be fairly helpful. Be sure to let us know what you bring back.

Barney's is a grocery store, located right next to the New Buffalo Pharmacy. They both carry our specialty beers at times.

Bud & Elsie's is a good bet as well.

So Barney's is the grocery store that is attached to the pharmacy? I've been there and didn't know the name was anything other than the pharmacy name. I gotta' pay more attention to life.

I was planning on traveling up into Michigan as far as Traverse City this coming weekend. Would it be to late to find Key Lime by this time?

I think if you were looking for Key Lime Pie this late, the Northern Michigan/Traverse City area would probably be your best bet of finding some.

I scored some Key Lime Pie in Holland last weekend. Don't give up the hunt!

If you're coming up to TC, just detour a bit and go to their pub in Bellaire. They should still have some bottles there. Plus it's worth the trip just to go anyway.

I agree with psykosis, just go to their pub! If the tap list on their website is up to date, they have both Key Lime Pie and Peaches N' Creme on tap, not to mention a bunch of other tasty stuff. I need to make a trip up there...

We still have Key Lime Pie here in Bay City. I'll be up in Bellaire/Short's all weekend. Their website says that they still have Key Lime Pie for sale in bottles, on draft and you could get some growlers to go.

Barney's isn't attached - they share a parking lot in the back.

It's all over West Michigan...seen it a few times here, BM me if needed. Also, if you want a good beer, I can help you find one of those as well.

Just stopped at Barney's in New Buffalo this past weekend to grab some Short's. They had some sixers as well as a single bottle section. I went for Huma Lupa, Bellaire Brown, and Nicie Spicie. They had another single; I believe it was a wheat fruit beer or something along those lines. The place also had Frangelic Mountain Brown and plenty of Oracle left over if you are looking for that as well.
