Isn't this just the bottled beer list for the upcoming year? I assume all sorts of other stuff, including BB Sustenance will be on tap at some point during the year.

Bourbon Sustenance wasn't on this years brewing schedule if I remember correctly. I'm assuming the schedule is only beers that are seeing distro, not pub only bottles. Probably why we also don't see the Aww Jeah they'll be bottling for us so they can make that MMMkay :grinning:

Glad to see Freedom/AnnivAle/Aorta. Really wish they mothballed Peaches and kept Lime.

Pan Galactic is an amazing Belgian IPA brewed with Galaxy hops. My favorite beer of 2011.

I'm assuming Sustenance will be the same? All Bourbon Barrel aged bottles at the pub vs. the 50/50 split in 2011?

Keep all the BA brews in bottles at the brewery and kegs around the state. Makes it more fun to go up there!

Oops. Haha, yeah that would be tough one to manage.

Ok, so as far as Bourbon Sustenance and Bourbon Wizard, there are no plans to bottle either of them next year, just kegs.

Didn't mean to sound trolly, every Short's beer I've had in the past two years or so has been good QC-wise. The last batch of Woodmaster I had (early 2011?) was infected, if subsequent batches were released I missed them.

Not trying to troll either, I'm just curious, but what was the flavor/aroma/mouthfeel profile you identified that lead you deem it infected?

Thin mouthfeel, acetic sourness on the palate with some toastiness in the background. Like if you mixed a geuze with an American Brown Ale.

I had a Woodmaster from last year about 2 weeks ago at HopCat--it was tasting quite good, which surprised me because I had one before then and it tasted a little sour. Then again, the one at HopCat was kept cold. I didn't hear of any QC issues with Woodmaster when it was first released.

If you come across any Woodmaster from last year on the warm shelf still, it may not be tasting well. If it's cold, you have a better chance. Despite being 10%, I think that beer should be drank as fresh as possible.

The code date for all Shorts beers are now located on the neck of the bottle in black ink.

I was hoping that Pan Galactic would get bottled. Evil Urges is a good addition too, but the last time I had it on draft it was a bit flat. I don't know of many other brewery's with the portfolio of beer that Short's has. They definitely keep their line up fresh, and I am sure that there will be a few surprises along the way as the year goes on.

Are "brewery exclusive" bottles usually planned this far ahead? Can we expect any this year?

Will Freedom of '78 have the same number of cases released as this year? It was one of the few Shorts beers I wasn't able to track down.

I'm not sure if any brewery exclusive are in the works yet, but I can imagine there may be.

Freedom of '78 will be around the same number of cases as last year.
