Holy shit, no joke I have ordered two more of the seltzer variety packs. Paloma is my wife's favorite, and I'm drinking everything else. It's all BA Private Stache Bombers and seltzer in my fridge right now. Never would have guessed.

Sometimes I wonder why Short's bothers with putting out a release schudule. They throw in so many beers as 'extras' that I can't 'schedule' my purchases.

BIG NEWS MEANS A LONG POST, SO BUCKLE UP AND READ ON!
Short’s Brewing would like to announce, with extreme joy and extreme caution, the reopening of our Bellaire Pub for dine-in service on Friday, May 22. We are looking forward to seeing y’all up north again, but obviously things aren’t going to be the same. Because we care so hard about each of you (and each of us), we’re gonna have some pretty strict rules to follow to keep us all safe. If you plan on coming to the pub, PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS and know that we are taking this very seriously (translation: if you don’t follow the rules, we reserve the right to refuse to serve you, for the health of safety of everyone). We want to eat White Peppers while crushing Local’s Lights as much as you do, trust us. We just gotta be safe about it.
    What Short’s expects from you:
You must make a reservation by calling or booking online before coming to the pub. Walk-ins will not, under any circumstances, be allowed. This applies whether you plan on having a meal or just having a pint (Stay tuned for info on how to reserve a table).
You are legally required to wear a mask unless you are seated at your table, eating and drinking.
Please stay home if you or anyone in your house are, or have recently been, sick.
Limit your party size to 10 people or less.
Do not enter the pub until you have received a text letting you know your table is ready. We will not have a waiting area.
No loitering away from your table; maintain 6’ social distancing from all other guests.
If possible, use our online menu option to select your food.
Short’s Mart will be limited to 4 guests at a time, with entrance only thru the pub and exit thru the Mart door -- we ask that you shop the Mart at the end of your meal if possible. Also, please refrain from touching any of the merchandise. If you wish to purchase something, a Short’s staff member will assist you. You are legally required to wear a mask while in the Mart. You can also order everything online! Lastly, Tuesdays from 10am-12pm the Mart will be open for vulnerable guests, which currently include people over 60, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease.
What you can expect from Short’s:
New Hours: Sun -Thur 11am-9pm, Fri - Sat 11am-10pm.
Dining room capacity reduced to less than 50%.
At least 6’ between each table.
Single-use or laminated menus that are sanitized between guests.
All condiment caddies removed from tables - single serve salt, pepper, parm, and red pepper flakes available upon request.
Removal of bar stools, pool tables, and gaming areas.
Each shift will have a designated cleaner to clean and sanitize work surfaces, shared surfaces, and bathrooms CONSTANTLY. This will go above and beyond normal sanitation practices.
Staff will be required to wear masks at all times.
All employees will have their temperature taken and complete the health departments questionnaire before beginning their shift.
Silverware will be rolled using single-use gloves.
Take out window will remain open for growler fills, packaged product, and food pick up.
Expanded take out menu options for large groups.
We will continue to offer food and beverage delivery for Bellaire addresses, along with curbside pickup in designated spots behind the pub, in case you’d still prefer to take your Short’s experience home.
If you made it this far, congrats! You’re a real Good Human and we appreciate your compliance with this new normal. We promise, to our staff and to you, that we will go above and beyond all government mandates to keep everyone safe. That’s what caring so hard is all about. Cheers and beers from the whole SBC crew.

Well, while we're on the subject of limited releases and new surprises, here's a chain-exclusive that's just been introduced:

Market Legend, session IPA with Sabro hops.

The face on the label is a stylized version of the Westborn logo. This'll be available at Westborn Markets, a long-time institution in Southeast Michigan. If you're near Berkeley, Dearborn, Plymouth or Livonia, it should be available now. Just make sure to bring your mask, Westborn has a no mask-no entry policy right now.

Ponyfish was released as a pub-only brew a little while back, but now can be ordered where Short's is currently shipping to.

Wow! Checking out the Short's Beer Delivery options

    https://store.shortsbrewing.com/product-category/beer-delivery/

Shows that they're now shipping growlers of beers on tap at the pub. Now's the chance to grab some pub only exclusive brews!

(Save some Richard in the Dirt and Gleaner Bock for me, please. I can't get orders until next week!)

Oh man this is too good! I got to try crayon ponyfish a few years back when it was on tap. A solid sour for anyone interested.

Shorts Shandy has landed at Our Family stores (D&W etc.) At a buck a bottle they're quite refreshing.

I'm a fan of the Smore stout summer drop! Most Excellent Stellar was phenomenal when that was out in a variety pack a couple years ago. I had Loud at the pub last fall, it was tasty. Would still rather see Kind Ale or Lazy Leaf be the wet hop release this fall, but excited for a new bottled wet hop brew. The wife is pumped for the release of Soft Parade Seltzer. Davine seems interesting, but not a big sour fan. With that being said Shortsicle is probably my favorite sour I've had from Shorts. And yes @JohnnyHopps Spruce Pilsner is misspelled!

Just placed another delivery oreder, but looks like growlers are for local delivery only.

All was not lost though. I did find out that they have 16oz 12pks of Locals available for delivery. I hope more beers show up this summer in this format.

When Bill and Ted Face the Music was announced for an August 2020 release, I wondered if we would see Most Excellent Stellar around the same time.

If included in the tourney, this would have been a serious contender. Has it really been four years?

In addition to Local's Light now being in pint cans, Soft Parade is now also available in pint cans. I dont known if these will be hitting distribution, but they are available at Short's Mart.

I think Lil' Huma needs to be in this format by next spring.
