Wishful Sinful Question? Anyone know if this is a kettle sour or a tradition sour with bugs? Assuming it is made with bugs, is it Pasteurized? @HopHeadHerman

You should save a bottle. It'll be worth 10 cents, someday.

Anybody tried either Wishful Sinful, Bourbon Publican, or Black Yukon Sucker Punch yet? My wife and I are going to be snowmobiling this weekend, and as always, are planning to stop by the pub in Bellaire for dinner. I'd like to pick up a couple of those beers to bring home, but am hesitant to do so without tasting them first. Doesn't look like they have them on tap either. I mean, I suppose I could buy one of each, and sit in the car and open/taste them, then buy more if I like it. I'm not above doing that, not sure what the Bellaire cops would think about it though. Trying to avoid a hassle, and it's close to an hour drive from the hotel to Bellaire, so I'd hate to try to make the trip twice this weekend.
    Thanks in advance,
fyi, spot me at the pub, I'll have some Hoof Hearted goodies with me for you.

You could always drink them IN the pub! Ask a pubtender maybe they can crack one open for a sampling ..? That or possibly shorts mart will allow that im sure as they are all pretty cool people. Aaand Pretty sure the bellaire pd frown upon drinkin in the back parking lot there behind shorts ... though it is there.

But no I have not tried any of them yet so no advice for ya there.

Sucker Punch was nice enough, but the black berries were a bit too present for me.

I have not cracked my Bourbon Publican Porter yet, but I remember really liking the base beer back in 07

I have not had any of them, but I say go ahead and buy them. Everything that comes out of Shorts is very good, so in my way of thinking, there is no risk. You'll like them.

Definitely the Publican. I haven't had the BA version, but Publican is soooo enjoyable on it's own.

The Bourbon Publican porter is excellent if you like chocolately Porters. This one is very smooth and goes down easy with very little "bourbon burn" on the finish. I wish I grabbed more than one while I was there last weekend, but I was already spending enough money at that point.

We always enjoy the Shorts, we just wondered which were worth buying multiples to bring back.

Having my first Aorta tonight, and thanks for the heads up-or warnings- from you gents. She's a big one, and it's pretty amazing what flavors open up as it warms.

I really enjoy the Yukon, and that's coming from a person who doesn't enjoy an insane amount of fruit presence in their bba brews. So, I'd recommend at least one. BBA Publican, an much a you can handle....and the sours, not my forte, but desirable for at least one.

Our game has been strong (RELATIVELY), so keep a lookout. Cheers, mate!
