The Slurm label posted above specifically says 12oz right on the label, so I don't think we have to worry about it being in bombers.

Am I supposed to use my Psychedelic Cat Grass glasses to read the Slurm label?

Yes to all of the above!!!!

Just had my first prolonged enjoyment of the year and its great. Simcoe is the star of this in my opinion! Super crushable and hoppy

    Re: The Anny party....
The taplist this year is SMALL!
    https://www.shortsbrewing.com/beer-cider-list/

Not complaining, as in years past it is been...difficult to try and taste everything I wanted to. Plus I'm sure it's A LOT more manageable for the event to have less inventory to deal with.

The event as a whole does seem to be shrunk down a bit this year.. only two musical acts (previous years have had 3), Smaller taplist...Obviously this was a conscious decision?

the third band will be the battle of the bands winner. Tap list is fine to me, we were spoiled for the 10th anny party. Wine Barrel Peachy Pom Pom, BA Evil Urges, Freedom and try the few I haven't had=a good night. 10th anny party was a great list, but I don't remember anything past the first two hours of that night.

Oh DUH! @ the Battle of the bands winner... Forgot about that.

And yeah, I have NO issue with the non-giant taplist.
There's some great stuff on there (the Barrel'd Peachy being HIGH on the list) so I have no complaints.

I've survived pretty well in years past thankfully... the wife and I always go with the "Get two different half pours rather than a single pour" route, and then most we both wanted to try so we'd split those half pours.
Once we got thru the bulk of things we'd get pours of the things only one or the other of us wanted, and then eventually revisit things we liked and wanted more of.
Last year I DID fall asleep on the shuttle back to Shanty, because I revisited Bourbon Sweep The Leg 4x lol!

Question for BAs who've been to the Anni Party: I can't make it, but I'm thinking thinking of visiting the weekend before or after. I'm pretty sure in past years that some of the anni brews have been available for a little while after, but have they been available before the party?

I happened to be in town last year on the weekend before, and none of the "crazy" beers were on. We still enjoyed ourselves, as usual.

    From the Full Pint/Twitter:

Short’s Unveils Salvacious Planemo Sour Series & Slurm NEIPA

In true Short’s fashion, just one month in advance of their biggest party of the year, Short’s Brewing Company announces the addition of the Salvacious Planemo Sour Series and Slurm to their 2017 Release Schedule. The Salvacious Planemo Sour Series will begin with the release of Anni Ale 13irteen, a dry hopped American Sour Ale with black currants. Slurm, Short’s first New England style India Pale Ale, will be distributed in May. Both new releases will be served on tap at Short’s Anni Party 13irteen.

A departure from Short’s Anni Ale ‘09 – ‘16, Anni Ale 13irteen will be released first at Short’s thirteenth anniversary party. This American Sour Ale will head to shelves and taps in Michigan and throughout Short’s expanded distribution footprint (Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin) beginning May 1st.

Fans of past Short’s releases Peachy Pom Pom and Wishful Sinful have much to look forward to. Subsequent Salvacious Planemo Sour Series releases include Exeter, a new American Sour Ale with strawberry and lemon and the eventual return of Critterless. First released in the fall of 2016, Critterless is an American Sour Ale with mango and cherry that quickly proved to be a fan favorite.

On the other end of the beer spectrum, Short’s Slurm, a juicy, hazy, New England style IPA will also make it’s debut on tap at Short’s Anni Party 13irteen. Packaged in six-packs of 12 oz bottles and kegs, Slurm will only be available in Michigan. According to the company, distribution will take place in May.

Taking place on April 29th, 2017, Short’s Anni Party 13irteen will feature 30 Short’s brews and Starcut Ciders, local food, two specialty Private Stache bottle releases (Terr Bear, a barrel aged sour Wheat Ale fermented with Northern Michigan raspberries and Bourbon Wizard, a barrel aged Barleywine), and performances by Laith Al-Saadi, May Erlewine & The Motivations, and the first ever winner of Short’s Battle of the Bands.

Tickets to Short’s Anni Party 13irteen are available now. Order today at: shortsbrew.com/anniparty.

Oh I know, what I was saying if it wasn't getting distro I may be tempted to make the drive....thankfully I don't have to. One of the reasons I love Shorts...they are very good about getting stuff out to distro....

Slurm! Slurm! Slurm! Slurm! Super pumped for this one. Shorts has been great about distributing plenty of all releases here in Michigan, but even with that I bet this one goes quick.

Had a Publican for the first time Sunday...that's a damn fine beer.

To this palate, better than Bell's & Founders porters...both of which are excellent.
