awesome, can't wait. pretty complex sounding blend, hope it turns out. looks like they've termed this a 'collaboration beer' as opposed to a 'private stache' release. probably because they are in 550's

Awesome. But why is anny ale being released in bombers? Love just cracking a 12 oz'er once in awhile.

yeah, it dawned on me after i posted that they didnt identify it as a private stache beer. I also hope it all works together and I really hope its heavy on the blackberry and plum. the color alone should be very interesting.

It hasn't been bottled yet- we are shooting for 700 bottles. Allotment has not been set.

From the sounds of it, up to 12 bottles per person at least.

Uhhhh.... whoever is running the Short's Facebook page seems to know the bottle limit (and price for that matter)

Not sure what you can/can't influence, but just some feedback on the bottle release process last year compared to other years.

It worked much better when they sold bottles a few hours prior to the event and you could grab tokens then too. Last year I found myself wasting the first half hour of the party waiting to buy bottles.

I passed this along and it was greatly appreciated. We may do a pre-sale for bottles of Compression and Anny Ale, but it may hinder on whether or not you purchased a ticket yet. Keep on the lookout via our social media for more information, it could be announced sooner than later.

So here's the presale info (for anybody that didn't get the email)
    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/shorts-brewing-anni-party-xii-tickets-16804477645

Now, while this is AWESOME, and I really hate to say anything bad about Short's....
    $1.49 fee PER BOTTLE?
    REALLY?!

I mean, I get that there's time that will now go into sorting pre-orders now, and however much cost there may or may not be for the additional tickets thru eventbrite, etc... but DAMN! lol
If you buy the 10 bottles it limits you to (which, also kinda sucks since I was looking to buy 12 total) thats an extra $15.

Again, I get that there's extra work involved with this, and I hate to bitch, since this event (and Short's as a whole) have always been AWESOME, but man this one has a hella sting to it....

</rant> Me still love you long time <3

Was the Anniversary Ale $38 a 6 pack last year, or did Short's put the beer in bombers and double the price?

I'll gladly pay 15 extra to not have to wait in line before or during the party.

I know you are being facetious, and I too would love six packs again of Anny ale, but it's hard to fault them as businesss owners for making this change when almost every other brewery is doing the same thing. If I were Joe Short and knew I would sell out of Anny ale at .45/oz compared to .23/oz, you bet your ass im making more money off it. Just like if I were Toppling Goliath, I'd sell all my BA stouts for $250/bottle. Let the market decide how much is too much.

Yep, I'm all for the free market and I can't fault them as a business. But I can certainly fault them as a customer. Pretty obvious this change was not meant to benefit us.
