I thought it was terrible. Sour and bitter. I loved it last year though:astonished:

    My winner list:
    1. Stache Bender
    2. Golden Eagle
    3. BA Ben's Asthma
    4. Olfactor Spectacular

And once again, I am absolutely not a fan of the Anniversale:slight_frown: Too much bitter citrus for me.

Got in line at 4, inside at 5. BA carrot cake was already gone, and a few others. Stayed until around 11, woke up dry and feeling OK:slight_smile: Grabbed a 6'er of Stache Bender on the way out of town. Glad to be warm again, I was freezing the entire time!

someone surely poured you the wrong beer. there was nothing sour or bitter about the one i had and it tasted just like i remember.

My favorite was the Imperial Publican Porter. I had the Moher Export the night before and really liked that as well.

i can't thank the people from short's enough. they took first class care of us. as always, it was great to see sean (hopheadherman), jon and brian. i thought it was extremely classy of joe short to thank people personally on their way out. we left around 8-ish. we got there around 3:15, so i had had enough. i don't know if i had a favorite beer, but i enjoyed everything i had. thimbelberry crush was good, double bourbon wizard, wallys world, and the anny 06 barrel aged triple ipa stood out if i remember right. i will definitely be back next year. the presale was crazy. we got there late but still managed to get 2 cases. again, terrific time. i can't wait till next year

    What an amazing party.

Thanks to Shorts for throwing such an amazing bash. Over 4000+ people, nearly as much (or more) than many MI beer fests, & yet no cluster fuck like previous Dark Lord Days, Huna Day, every Kuhnhenn event, etc.. Other breweries could take a lesson, THIS IS HOW YOU THROW A FUCKING PARTY!

Amazing beer, amazing food, amazing people, great times.

Double Bourbon Wizard & Bourbon Evil Urges were my two "new" (for me) favorites. But Bourbon Goodnight Bodacious was as fucking amazing as ever. Über Goober was tasting really damn good, too.

Literally was going to quote for that. Insanely tasty. The avocado was the kiss of death, for me.

Had an awesome time at the party! Have no complaints except I don't really remember anything past 8 pm either. Got there at 3 was able try BA woodmaster, BA Wizard, BA Evil Urges, BA Carrotcake and BA aphasia to name just a few. My favorites were the BA aphasia and BA woodmaster. End up getting to try about 20 beers through splitting up pours with friends. Short's did a class act with this party from top to bottom and my wife and I are already excited for next years party.

P.S. duck nachos were fucking awesome

Has anyone had stache bender From the bottle? How is it? I had a pour last night but honestly don't even remember it. I guess the Ba beers had me too gone:slight_smile: taking today off of boozing or else I wouldn't even be asking this question.

I was told by the area rep that they will never bottle any of the barrel aged stuff.

That's sad. I'd like to know why? They did the sustenance ..

They didn't bottle BA Sustenance this year, at least not that I saw.

I think it was something to do with being paranoid of infections.

I'm sure we'll be bottling some barrel-aged brews again, someday. New Krones bottling line arrives next month.

So bummed I missed this bash for so many reasons!!
If any of the lucky ones in attendance in the GR area is feeling merciful wants to hook a brother up, I'd love to try a bottle of Stache Bender? I'd be eternally in your debt. :grinning:

Definitely gonna have to mark off the 11th anniversary bash on my calendar for next year. I'll just mark off the entire month of April as busy so other plans aren't accidentally booked. Now to get my wife on board...

Apparently I ordered these when I was past the point of no return, tried to eat them by balancing single nachos on a butter knife, and was utterly unsuccessful in doing so. Really pissed I don't remember how they tasted.

My wife loved the duck nachos. We ordered everything on the menu. I was pretty far gone at that point. I'm so glad we got to make this years event. I believe I tried 20-25 different beers. Again, it was a first class operation. We're very fortunate.
