Short's Expanding Bellaire Brewpub

    HopHeadHerman, is this just strictly seating/merchandise or are there any expansions to the brewing capacity?

    For this expansion it sounds like just seating/merchandise. Joe was on Reddit yesterday fielding questions and brought it up.

    Great news! Looking at the future brewpub picture it would be awesome if they add a big outdoor patio ihe middle section!

    Expanding the seating area and retail space is all fine and dandy. The best part of this story is someone investing in their community. Another reason why Short's is a premier Michigan brewery, dedicated to this state and it's people, and one of my personal favorites! Keep up the good, honest work Short's!

    Joe said on reddit that any plans for outdoor seating are now scrapped because of the expansion

    So with the expansion, Shorts will be officially have half of the Bellaire city footprint, right?

    Can't wait to see this when it is done!

    Any updates on this? It's obviously behind schedule, I just hope it's done prior to 11th Anny Party.

    When I was there a few weeks ago I saw that the drug store that was Short's neighbor has moved across the street, so that building is now empty and that should now allow for some remodeling activity.
