Short's Pub-Only Bottle Release

I should have bought more.

 

This is easily the best DIPA I've had from Short's (Maybe from anywhere in MI). They really knocked this one out of the park for me. The tropical fruit flavors are off the charts and there's an awesome tart/bitter finish to it as well. Truely unique brew!

 

If this is there tomorrow I may have to give in and go get more...

 

It tastes like an Imperial Freedom with extra fruit, and thats a good thing.

 

Any word if this is still available in Bellaire?

Considering going up today but don't want to make an 8 hour round trip to come home empty handed.....

 

Coolers were getting low yesterday at 3pm. Maybe, but doubtful. Call them.

 

i bought 3 bottles at 4:30 and that left 3 behind.

 

Called up there earlier and was told "not many left today".

Glad I didn't go....

...by the time I could have left, I wouldn't have made it by 5pm.

yeah it surely seems similar to freedom. more of a tart/dry/bitter finish though.

it is certainly different but i had no problem sucking down a whole bottle by myself, i found it to be quite enjoyable. anyone who chooses not to buy anymore beer because of one beer they didnt like seems pretty whiny.

 

I've had 2 and think it's great. Whomever wrote that has some issues. If you are turned off by fruit or a mild level of tart, you may not enjoy Island Chomper, but I can't imagine how it would make somebody that irate.
