Short's Summer Releases

Key Lime has been tap only this year. It's around Grand Rapids, with some places filling growlers. Short's cake may still be floating around in bottles somewhere (check smaller shops). Good luck man!

 

@HopHeadHerman anything I should try when I stop by at shorts on Friday?

 

The list changes so frequently, all I would recommend for sure is a fresh Huma, straight from the source (should be on). Then, anything that sounds good to you.

 

I get there once a year and my strategy is to get a flight of whatever isn't being bottled, and then a growler or howler of whatever I didn't get in the flight (this year I'll both!) . Last year it was a growler of Anniversary Ale, this year I'm hopeful Richard in the Dirt will still be there in a week. I love tripels and haven't had this one yet.
But, in the end, it's Short's. So it's all good whatever you pick. The tough choice for me this year is what to choose off the food menu.

Shortscake is at the corner market in spring lake. The one near ferrysburg and the grand haven/spring lake exit at 31. Lots of other shorts stuff except hopstache.

 

Seconding the Corner Market, it's still there as of today. Ask about behind the counter bottles too, Brooklyn Brewing is just leaking in there too

 

In the Kalamazoo area, I've actually found the opposite to be true in regards to Short's speciality releases: they disappear quickly from a lot of the smaller speciality shops but stick around for quite a while at grocery stores.
