I am leaving in a few minutes from Grand Rapids to head up to TC for work. There and back today. Any reason I should swing into Short's for bottles or someplace else around the area for bottles? Appreciate any heads up.
It might be easier to find bottles of Right Brain stuff in TC at the brewery or in local bottle shops than finding it in GR if you're interested in RB stuff.
Ferment might have some bottles of their stuff left. RBB has bottles at their brewery, but I've never seen them on shelves around town. Shorts would be worth a visit if you have time depending on what they have left on tap from the party. Plus you could grab bottles of Ann. Ale, BBS, and the double Controversiale (can't recall the exact name).
They had a lot of BB Sustenance, Anniversary Ale, and Contriversius Maximus left after Saturday so it's probably a good bet you can still get all of those. I'm sure a lot of the beers from the party are still on tap as well. They were allowing growler fills of anything you wanted at the party so you can probably get a fill of something good too. I would call ahead but I would say it's definitely worth a stop at Shorts.
Thanks for the recs. My deposition went way too long and I ended up having to skip everything. I will be back Wednesday.
Ferment posted they have a few bottles available right now if you are interested. -Vanilla Stout: whole vanilla beans in a double oatmeal stout. 7.25% -Coffee Stout: local coffee from Higher Grounds in a double oatmeal stout. 7.25% -Quetzalcoatl's Gift: chocolate chipotle imperial stout. 8.25% -PB&A: peanut butter imperial stout. 8.25% Just in case you are looking for something special/unique...
I tried to stop in there before my dep but they were not open yet. I might check them out tomorrow. Next Friday I am heading up for a wedding and the wife and I are bouncing around the idea of taking the entire day off and taking our time heading north. Could be a good spot to end up.
