Just picked up a bottle last night. Should i just chill it and drink it now or age it ? What differences might I see by aging and how long should I age it? Have never aged a beer before but have a perfect cold cellar to do it. Stays cool in the summer. What's the ideal temperature it should be in there? Thanks in advance

If you only have one bottle I say drink it, I only age stuff if I have a second bottle for reference otherwise you don't really know if its improved or not. I've seen breweries recommend temps anywhere from 4-18C (40-65F) for storing their beer so I'm sure your cellar would be fine. I'm not to sure what would happen to the Manifesto if you aged it, I'd guess the booze and chocolate would fade with time and it would mellow out. Let me know when you find out:wink:

Why would you age it? What do you expect out of aging it?

Just buying a bottle to age it because it's the cool thing to do is stupid, especially if you've never tried it. Open it, drink it. Enjoy it. If later on you get another one, then you can try some time on it.

That was my question." Should I age it or not" Wasn't trying to be "cool" Thanks for the snarky reply.

I bought 2. Opened one a few weeks ago and it's a chocolate bomb for sure. Didn't find it overly boozey. Probably good to drink now, I'm aging the other one (not sure how long, no specific intention, just have lots of other beers to get to first), but if you've never had it, all that chocolately goodness might fade out a bit. Recommend sharing with 2-3 people.

Opened it last night. Oh my, chocolate over the top goodness. Booze was well hidden. I'd buy this one again
