On topic: Hey!Beer in Wilmington gets most of my business.

 

yep it's true, and on top of that, supermarkets here in NY can serve beer, regardless of the ABV, but not hard liquor or wine, hence stores like stop n shop and Walmart will serve beer in the supermarket and there will be a small liquor shop next door, as you mentioned. It's hard for us to believe but costco is actually the biggest seller of Wine in the US…. but not here in NY.

Gonna represent Roanoke, VA here and go with Barrel Chest Wine & Beer. Great atmosphere, great beer and wine selections and very knowledgable staff, too! Great beer on tap with some exceptional bar food too. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and check these guys out! If you've ever visited Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA then you will recognize Martin, who is the owner of Barrel Chest and previously worked at VC.
