Where'd you find it? Seen it before at a bar but never for sale

The one on the left should be a cautionary tale of what happens when you wash glassware in water that's too hot.

I bought it from a local beer shop, I think they said they ordered them online somewhere

I suspect so, I joked with one of the guys at the shop about getting the Duvel magnum to drink out of it since they had that as well, might have to do that sometime but that would be a lot of Duvel

damn all of you... I thought I had my spending problem under control this week and now I have a list of glassware I apparently "can't live without". I sound like my wife about shoes.

You would be amazed how difficult it is to find those! I have been on the hunt for quite some time. Any hints as to where I should search that I haven't already?

They pop up on eBay every so often.

I just saw a set of two of them go for a little under 90 bucks a week or two ago.

I was going to throw some bids on it, but it got too rich for my blood.

Likewise. I want that glass real bad, but that was a bit excessive.

I guess glassware is like beer , different for everyones taste..
I dont get the hype on the Hitachino glassware...
The BCBS snifters are bringing in some stupid coin on ebay too...

I think it's a combination of it being an extremely old and exotic brewery with some genuinely great beers, rarity, and their glassware looking totally unique. In a sea of transparent soda-lime glasses a solidly-made hand-painted ceramic glass really stands out. The same goes for that wavy pint glass of theirs - it's such an unusual shape. I don't think anyone would care if it were just a standard pint/snifter/tulip etc. I've been looking to get one or two of those ceramic glasses for quite a while, I was hoping to get the pair that just ended recently on eBay.... but I'm sure as shit not paying nearly a hundred bucks for them.
The BCBS snifters I don't get either. It's a fantastic snifter, but they'll be available again mid-March. You'd think anyone willing to pay such an exorbitant amount on eBay would have already done their research on the glass and would know they'd be getting them in again at Clybourn soon. For something like a Founders KBS snifter I'd be willing to drop that amount of cash, but not something I know I can get for cheap straight from the horse's mouth in the immediate future... but, if you have the cash to spare I guess it doesn't matter all that much when you want the glass more than you need the money.
