Great thread, but I have nothing particularly special on this front. Just my 50th Anniversary New Braunfels Wurstfest stein. Wurstfest is a pretty popular German festival in Texas Hill Country. Which also consumes Gruene Texas cause there are tons of people, with their famous Gruene Hall (famous music venue). They do a stein every year, I have been more than once, but this is the only stein I have...or maybe I got more and lost them in all the drunkenness but this is the only one I still have ha.

I only wish I owned it. My favorite picture of a stein.

OMG. I have that same stein. It holds 5L. On the bottom is stamped the number "1113" and the words "Made in West Germany" as well as a logo "CW". There is a little yellow sticker, also on the bottom, that has the word "Corzelius" on it. I bought it in 1983 from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service when stationed in Germany. I never tried to put five liters of beer into it though. I don't think that it is worth much as it was sold by the PX. But is an interesting conversation piece.

I wouldn't leave it on a shelf near an entrance door.

Holy cow @Thankin_Hank! I have never seen anything like that! Looks like quite precarious spot for someone to put it.

This Glorious stein was on a shelf outside an Assisted Living Apartment in Wichita Falls where my parents once lived a few years ago. Cheers!

If I owned it, it would be my favorite. But here's a pic of a stein that I took thru a gift shop store window in Wiesbaden Germany 5-6 years ago.

If the datasheet at the bottom of the pic is too small to read, here is a larger view:

Here is my favorite Stein. Amazing photographer as well.

Could not resist, I have no stein and probably never will for drinking.

    Enjoy

Yeah, but 8 oz. glasses of beer.
    How 20th century of them.
    That's a "sampler/taster" in the US today.

I prefer to think that it's one glass of beer. Yeah an all-day glass, but only one glass. :stuck_out_tongue:

Can you imagine the difficulty of drinking out of that stein? Fifty pounds for the stein's weight and approximately 66 pounds for the beer (I'm using the weight of water @ 8.34 lbs per gallon) comes to 116 pounds to tip up to your lips.
