First actual beer drinking glass I've owned, so I was a bit careless with it, like leaving it out to air dry or soak in some soap. I wouldn't have been that upset if it wasn't my 21st birthday gift. So oops. Anyone have any ideas to keep it around?

 

just the most recent victim of my wifes dish washing rage lol, she hand washes but never anticipates what happens when you stack all those hand washed dishes/glasses

20 years ago or so, bought a set of six of these old Pilsner Uquell stemmed glasses off of eBay for a about a buck each, plus postage. One arrived broken and even though the package was insured it was just too much hassle to make a claim for a "partial" damaged package since I still had five good ones- but was never able to throw it out.

My wife has done a number on my glasses - from a couple mini-snifters with the Left Hand logo, to a couple Glencairn tasting glasses (those were great for bourbon) to various beer glasses - the Speiglau IPA, Maine Beer curved pint (haven't found one with that shape since that actually holds a full 16 oz with headroom) etc. My most recent casualty was a Unibroue Maudite snifter. I got a little cranky on that one (I'd had it for a long time and was one of my go-to glasses for most of that) and threw it in the trash a little harder than strictly necessary and SHE got mad at ME for it... *grump* you were the one that broke it, can't I be a little upset about it?

what message could that possibly be? Of course, when she breaks one, I have to replace it. Getting the "where's it going to live?" question when I bring it in. Maybe I should start asking her that when she gets a new pair of shoes...

 

My wife has banned Spiegelau glasses in the house after an IPA glass and Stout glass broke by basically looking at them wrong.
