Here's mine posted up in the basement. It's a GE 7 foot with the Johnson A419 temp controller. Just barely fits 2 - 6.5 gallon buckets. Can probably fit 2 - 1 gallon jugs on the hump. Wan't to get the 14 foot but it wasn't going fit through the basement door.

Just a regular ole apartment-size fridge with a Ranco temp controller.

And boddhitree, we call those demi johns 'round here. Never used one, but I probably would if carboys weren't available.

I built a workbench with ferm chamber underneath:

Powered by fridge on the left, insulated inside.

It can hold lager temps as long as it's not super hot outside. Too hot and the fridge has a tendency to ice up. But I've also got a chest freezer which I use for fermenting and storing lagers/finished beers.

Your work bench setup looks similar to what I had in mind for my small fridge (see my earlier post), although I would likely make it smaller - just enough for 1-2 fermenters and a blow-off setup. I also intend to use a large chest freezer in the same way, and plan to eventually put a collar on it and make it more keezerly.

Yeah, I saw your post, but that fridge is seriously small. I see bigger ones on craigslist for $25 all the time. Although if you built something like that, you could always make the fridge opening bigger if you needed a bigger fridge.

The biggest leak in what I built was the door, by far. Everything else was pretty easy to seal up, but I couldn't really figure the door out.

The Craigslist market is not thriving in my region. I've kept my eyes on it, but really haven't seen much that is promising. I'm inclined to find a way to put this small fridge, which I got for free, to some homebrewing usage.

    Soft ****...no pixs:

11 ft3 chest freezer with J-419 that will hold (2) 6.5 gal fermenters and (2) 7.9 gal fermenters...used only in the summer for fermenting beer...the rest of the year it does double duty as a lager chamber and a party refrigerator.

This Amana model seems exceptionally large so all I had to do was remove the inside door panel. I've been trying to pick up another similar mini-fridge butr they're all too small internally...

A slightly modified Mr Beer keg which doesn't take up a lot of space in this climate controlled closet.

Currently a chest freezer with a Brewer's Edge heating pad connected to a self-made temp controller that regulates to within 1 degree C. Fits 6 carboys (we brew on a 1 BBL system).

Soon to be this (in a new, repurposed upright freezer, using the same heating pad system -- still going to keep the chest freezer in case we want to have a 2nd batch going simultaneously):
