I have records, photographs, and family stories that span three centuries. The things that I uncover frequently are the truths that I hope to pass along,

 

And clearing the cache. But it's surprising just how well restarting tends to fix things.

Right after he sings the line, “And his hair was perfect” he kinda makes this noise that sounds like “gyip” or “yep”. Sorry for the obscure reference. Anytime I’m with my brother and the song comes on (which is pretty often, we’re both Wareen Zevon fans), we always emphasize the “gyip” part, and then we laugh!

Do you look like your dog, or vice versa? I've found that I've taken on some hound features, if not instincts.

 

Love WZ, listened to that song thousands of times and never noticed that so I had to go back and listen. Reminds me that one thing I always wanted to do was have a Pina Colada at Trader Vic's!!

No doggos here, my wife's allergic. I've seen that happen with other people though.

 

I'm allergic to everything, but any discomfort with pets is well worth the price for me. My allergist years ago told me that I'm allergic to all native trees and grasses, not to mention animals. I will take this stuff to my dust on the trail...

Ha yes that too but Lee Ho Fook's closed in 2008 so that is now off the table.

 

Not sure that's how I'd spell it ... maybe it should just be written ">grunting exclamation<" on the lyric sheets .... Right after that, if I remember right, he says the line "Draw blood"... which I find myself repeating whenever I cut myself (which happens a lot... damn wild black raspberries I let grown around the garden fencing) or, lately, at the medical lab.

Wasn't the story that they originally didn't even serve Beef Chow Mein (it's likely one of those Chinese-Americanized dishes) but eventually they had to,,, "by popular demand" (to paraphrase another Zevon lyric).
