    Hi all

I'm in the process of moving. I don't know exactly when though. Let's call it 6 months. I'm drinking the last of my 6 corny freezer now. I haven't cleaned any of the lines. I want to run some cleaner/sanitizer through them and store the lines with something in there. I'm curious to your thought. Should I store the lines with Oxyclean or StarSan? Or does it even matter?

I wouldn't store them with anything, let them dry and keep them dry.

Now might be a good time to remove the old lines. Replace them when you are ready to set up in your new place.
If you are going to clean the lines rinse and let dry.
    Cheers.

How often do you replace lines? They're about 2 years old.

For lines that are cleaned regularly (I follow the Brewers Association guidelines of every two weeks), replacement shouldn't be necessary for at least five years. The exception to this is when a line becomes 'stained' with a flavor from a previous beer. In particular, Sage is one of the worst offenders as can be fruit-forward beers like lambic.

I just hit them with Oxyclean and StarSan when each keg kicks. So maybe once every 3-4 months.

That's exactly what I do and I haven't had an issue so far. I've had around 25 or more batches on some lines.

I'll be the first to admit that my palate isn't great. The beer I make is very enjoyable and I wouldn't know what to taste for in a dirty line anyway.

It gets worse (better?) as you get older.
