Much jealousy for all y'all. Even if I wasn't stuck in NC, it wouldn't be feasible for me (personally) to drive down right now. Fortunately, traveling for work gives me a reason to bitch

Hey, I live 20 minutes away and never go. Don't feel bad. I would rather sit at home and drink Two Hearted.

Was actually a bit of a line, which was pretty surprising. Beer was a cinnabomb imo. Didn't really pickup on much maple myself, but as a cinnafan, wasn't disappointed. Share was really nice. That Pirate Clarity is the real deal.

Well, I did get to try them side by side, so sure. Someone else who tried both put it best by saying the cinnamon on D9 was "hotter" aka fresher.

Pretty much ever. He makes some good beer no doubt, but in this case..the whole paying $60 for a beer that I have to drink there just does not appeal to me. Actually the SP beers I like the best are basically the easiest ones to get. Oh well, he’s doing well so what do I know. To each their own.

I'm with you. I went yesterday because I was excited for a new derivation, but I can't afford to go there very often, and I'm within walking distance. In the end, I get the same satisfaction from a shelfie as I do a hyped beer.

People can hate all they want, but this is why I am alway ISO Bourbon County. It’s relatively easy to acquire, and to my palate absolutely one of the best. So, when I really want that great BA stout at a bargain value/price, that’s what I reach for. Everyone wants to try new and cool stuff, but give me one of these and I’ll be happy 90% of the time.

Somehow I just converted this thread into a regular beer talk forums thread. :stuck_out_tongue:

Enjoyed a bottle to myself and loved every minute of it. Cinnamon, Maple, Boozy, Chocolate and incredible. Wasn't overly sweet by any means and had that classic Derivation mouthfeel. One thing that really bugged me was one of the new employees was insisting on pouring the entire bottle when someone ordered it....I didn't go to her since, fuck that, and went to one of the bar tenders I chat up on occasion instead. I couldn't believe the other one though...two glasses and one bottle and she filled them to the brim and just said "sorry, we're pouring the whole bottles today to avoid people stealing"...not even kidding. She was the only one doing that though.

I tried the D9 and BAA side by side (if you're the guy that offered me a pour in exchange for some Tete B1, thanks!!) and thought BAA was thin and cinnamony compared to D9 being thick and mapley. I didn't get a ton of cinnamon out of D9 at all.

Got to sample some D10 as well, which was surprising/cool.

Haha, that was me. We missed the Tete B1 by only a few people. Also, I realized after the fact that I mistook you for someone else - definitely explains why you were like, 'who the f is this guy'. Glad we could make a swap of BAA for Tete B1 tho. Cheers! Cory looked and laughed by the way when he saw the exchange.

Stealing a beer that you pay for. What a charmed life it must be for them to have such terrible problems.

I think it was an attempt to prevent possible resale of the beer. I understand the concern, but disagree with pouring the whole bottle.

Also the fact that they're waxed, so good luck making that D9 bottle look uncracked.
