Exactly. If there was concern there, then don't allow drinks into the bathroom or don't allow someone to walk out with an "empty" bottle. Really struck a nerve with me on that....I don't think she understood that "we are pouring the bottle for you" means opening the bottle and pouring a glass and absolutely does not mean to drain the whole fucking bottle. I hope someone finally corrected her on that.

So wait, no one gets to take home the empty bottle? Ever? I can see how some people would be very disappointed with that.

No, you can. It made no sense what she was doing.

I assumed what she meant by "we are pouring to prevent stealing" was referring to someone trying to steal a small amount left in a bottle to sell "vials". Which is still THE most absurd thing I have ever heard in beer.

I watched multiple people walk off with their 3/4 bottle of D9 on Saturday. Pour the whole bottle or a glass, I could just whip out my paper funnel, refill and cap with a champagne stopper. The pour the entire bottle method is ridiculous. I didn't experience that but either way, people will find a way around it if they really want to take it home.

Talking to a friend last night who couldn't make it, someone is supposedly sending her a vial. I couldn't bring myself to say anything to her, but I agree, it's 100% absolutely fucking ridiculous.

How does one actually administer the vial though, is it prescribed as a suppository? Take your medicine! Vile vialers.

Is there a reason why Cory bottles these Derivations if they are on-site only? That would eliminate this issue wouldn't it? Or is this just proof that some beers taste better out of the bottle than they do on draft lol

I always thought the same thing. Why are these waxed and bottled??? I'd love to have it on draft anyway...hell I bet it would be amazing on nitro

We've had this discussion quite recently, actually. I could probably find the page - but it can't be more than about 6 ago, and from around early summer (Late May I believe - right around a holiday). One of the big complaints (very reasonable at that) with bottles is that it drastically reduces the number of people that get to try the beer since they could set a 1 pour limit.

Not trying to rehash, just explain it was hashed recently.

It’s because they’d rather have biere du pays on tap for a year and 4 month old Shared IPAs.

Sounds like someone should invite Cory to the "Beer me Anything" forum

I was next in line for one of the D10 sample glasses when it went dry. Can't blame the guy in front of me, but some douche a couple people in front of him downed half the damn glass. Pretty lame move

I've never seen something like this, so excuse my ignorance.

Did Cory just pour a glass, and then people stand in line to all drink from the same glass?

Seems like little "shot" plastic containers would be a good idea, albeit much more work. I guess this is a stupid thing to even mention. I don't mind sharing with 1 person, but I really have no desire to drink from the same glass as 20 neckbeards. I don't want to try it that bad.

Yeah...my mind is boggled right now, surely that can't be what was occurring...and that no one actually described it or talked about online it as it was happening is even more confounding.

You're not alone in that.... I've seen Cory pour samples but never a "community glass"... I have no idea what that guy is talkin about.

That's....not at all how it went down with my taste.

Cory poured several glasses out of a bottle and handed them to me and my group. We talked about the beer and barrels and stuff for a few minutes and sipped it. Awesome experience and completely devoid of backwash and foreign beard hairs.

He poured some glasses and passed them out, this was at the cellar. He said take a drink and pass it on (or something like that) for the glass near me. Looking back, it was a little gross, but still a pretty cool gesture.
