Perhaps that's what was intended, but it wasn't what happened

 

Someone pouring me a glass of beer and me sharing that beer with another out of the goodness of my heart is one thing.

Someone pouring me a glass of beer and the rando behind me expecting me to share my beer with them is quite another.

I mean, it's not the blood of Christ or the Holy Grail.

 

It would be hard pressed to realize that if you talked to some of these beer nerds around here. It may not be, but they sure are worshiping at the altar. In some circles, to even criticize the chosen ones in any shape or form, even constructive, is considered blasphemy!

So 49% of the brew is actually wine. Not made by SP. Hmmmmm

so the remaining 49% is beer/wine hybrid? i’m wondering if BA is even going to allow my entry of this “beer” to stay up on the site...

Is it Pinot Noir wine or Pinot Noir grape juice? I would think blending a much stronger alcohol into a much lighter different bodied one would really fuck up a beer, and also not be allowed, at least under many state laws. I mean I've been told by brewers here in Ohio that they can not blend bourbon into their beer and still sell it as beer, so "no, there is no leftover bourbon in the barrel when we age our stout", or something to that effect.

 

Good thought. I am assuming this is different but the very reason for that her 51/49% breakdown.

 

As a side note Tired Hands had a saison they called Frequency Illusion that had a very similar description that at first also seemed like it was blended with wine, but now just seems to be refermented with grapes. It was quite good.

 

Was OG Punchdown not 51/49?

 

49% what though? Co-fermenting may be a wine term, but I don't think that means pouring wine into beer and continuing the fermentation process...if so, I think this is way out of the bounds of brewing practices and possibly a black market recipe for a bomb
