When should the will there/won't there speculation on a silent release at BBT weekend start?

 

Think the speculation started a few weeks/pages back

 

Could be like the supposed silent FDF release a couple months back on Sunday of D9 weekend.

Couple hundred people lined up and they opened and absolutely nothing new to go, lol.

That would suck. A lot of assuming going on without any other evidence than they had one last year?

 

I'm going to try and arrive early. Not because I expect a special release, but because I want to get a table. Got a feeling the crowd might be larger than last year

are you sure they weren’t just lined up for D9? was quite the crowd on saturday there early to bottle share and to line up for a spot.

 

At least half the line left on that sunday, because I was one of them.

 

I remember there being a lot of chatter about a silent release, so we were there pretty early. Got Oude Fermier and Tete 2 onsite, so was worth it.

 

That was Saturday tho correct? Sunday is when the line was there and almost everyone left when we realized there was no release

 

Yes, I was there Saturday. I think there was a lot of talk about a silent going into the weekend. I expected a busy crowd for D9, but we kind of thought if there's a silent we'll be there early also.

 

Hey guys, coming in from out of town (MA) and looking for some info on Thanksgiving weekend. I'm picking up a bottle from the cellar on Saturday but am flying in Friday. Here's what I'm wondering:

• What time do people usually start lining up? I would love to get a seat at a table or the bar but the place seems really small for the amount of people going to the release. How long of a wait are we speculating?
• I see people talking about beer shares in line, is SP okay with this or is this a 'keep it on the DL' kind of thing?
• With a potentially secret beer being released, do you think it will last the weekend? For example, how long did BACSV last from the year prior? Also, was BACSV available to the public or only BBT ticket holders?
• Possibility that D10 is still available this weekend? Would it make sense to try to get there Friday night in case it sells out?

I know this is all speculative but I'd really appreciate some insight from people who have been in the past so I can come prepared! Cheers, hope to crack some bottles with some of you!

 

That's actually a pretty awesome idea. I'd love to see them do a release (same weekend) that you aren't allowed to purchase if you purchased BBT.

 

BA CSV was available to the public.

Banning people from a surprise release because they bought the announced release is a terrible idea.

 

It's a surprise, why does it matter? For the people that stood in line because of whispers? I'm not sure I see why it matters. the only people that are harmed are the people that were able to buy BBT and lined up early AT HOPES WITHOUT KNOWING there would be a surprise release.
