With your pickup being Saturday, it should be a little lighter as the Brewery opens at Noon compared to 1pm for The Cellar and the Brewery has more space (and no tax; stupid MO law) but I know that last year people were lining up a few hours in advance.
I am 99% sure that line sharing is not allowed at The Cellar since they do not own any of the parking lot or sidewalk whereas they own the parking lot for the Brewery so you can have legal actions taken against you by the city of Maplewood.
Last year BACSV sold out to the line at open, I went to The Cellar Friday ~1:30pm and it was a 1 in and 1 out situation and I wasn't even close to getting a bottle. BACSV was available to anyone in line.
I believe that they are wanting D10 to last the weekend but the blog states stout/barleywine so that should also include some other beers (DBD? Anabasis? D11?). It might not be the worst idea if time permits for you to try to swing by Friday night?
I hope you enjoy your time in St. Louis and the crowd isn't too terrible to you!

Hey all - heading in to town 11/30. Last time I got a bottle of OWK and failed to “doom” it by myself. I’m angry, and I want to fight Side Project again. Anything exciting happening that weekend? If I only can go to one location once, is there a time/place you’d recommend?

Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need me to bring any Revolution Deep Woods or other Chitown goodies with me.

Folks who didn't get a BBT would disagree, but if they did this I'm sure a neckbeard riot would ensue. Of course, a true beer nerd has 5 mules at the ready in preparation for such an event

You mean people who didnt get a BBT and would benefit in this ridiculous scenario wouldnt mind?

Is it only ridiculous because it is unannounced? What if they announced it? People would still get upset, I just don't get why. There's something for everyone. Why exactly does that make people so upset?

Although I get the idea of everyone getting something, It would be a nice consolation for people who are going to be driving in from hours away or even flying in to be able to leave with a little something extra.

If Side Project's current to go list isn't enough of an "extra" for people this weekend then there's something wrong in the beer world. God forbid people don't go home with 2 crazy whale stouts.

No kidding, I think this is the most small format bottles they've had to go at once. Wouldn't be surprised if some things sell out this weekend

I'll be snaggin' many Balaton's, that's for sure.

On a side note, how are the Terroir Projects for those who have had them?

I didn't make it to the silent release last year, but if I remember correctly, they had it to go on Sat to those in line at open then had it to go again on Sunday. Is that right?

For the release last year, Cory came out somewhat early and handed out tickets for BACSV, at least for the Saturday release. By Saturday however, people were standing in line early JUST for BACSV, because some people got it on Friday. Maybe it will be that way this year.

@coryking I did not get tickets this year, but did get them last year and still remember the painfully slow line, so for the love of god, alphabetize the check off list by LAST NAME. That will speed up the process a bit faster.

I won’t be getting into St.Louis until around 11 for Saturday bottle pick-up at The Cellar. Which location would be quicker for getting a table: staying at The Cellar after bottle pick up, or grabbing bottle and heading to the brewery? Never been to the brewery, and although I loved The Cellar last time I was there, it is rather small. I guess what I’m really asking is which one will have a shorter wait to get in and be able to get a drink? I don’t visit St.Louis that often and since I will be in only for the weekend I would prefer to wait as little as possible.

Hard to tell. But I would say head over to the brewery for on site bottles

If it helps, no taxes on bottles sold at the brewery.
