Side Project (2018)

Derivation 9 onsite was a great surprise. Had several bottles of it release weekend and still drinking phenomenal. It’s in my top 5 beers I’ve ever had.

Anabasis is up there with the best barleywines ive ever had. So damn good.

Had a pour of Derivation 6 which was a great surprise (thanks @coryking !).

BBT B2 is drinking better than B1 was fresh. So glad the wife and I both got bottles so we can drink one in 6 months and another a year or so down the line.

The 4X coconut in this batch of coconut vibes has me super excited. Will be doing a share soon with the last bottle of batch 1 coconut Vibes and the new batch soon.

Ended the night with some Maman 2017 on my way home. What an awesome day in STL!

 

Anyone going first thing tomorrow to the brewery want to split some bottles on site? I'm thinking I may be riding solo tomorrow.

Any guesses on how early to arrive to get a seat inside?

 

We were 1st in line at the Cellar last year, and we arrived around 10:15 (you don't play when you're driving 6 hours to get there).

We arrived around 9:30 this year, and were around 25th in line.

I'm seriously considering just getting Saturday Brewery tickets next year since arriving much earlier just to get a seat so you can buy on-site bottles seems silly.

 

the brewery is a zoo right now. CK moves the line from the front door to the back garage and people just swarmed over cutting anyone and everyone they could. now people are just showing up cutting.

 

Ugh. Hate to hear it.

 

CK said there’s enough coco vibes but still...cutting people who have been here since 6am is bs.

I just need to pick up my BBT and have a beer.
I remember last year there was an insane line for togo bottles, but if you were just drinking and grabbing BBT it wasn’t as big a deal. Hoping with both locations open today it’ll be a little less wait.

 

Is CK handing out tickets for coco vibes does it seem like it will last into the day a bit?

No tickets today. Got there about 40 minutes before open and was down the sidewalk in line. Got our bottle around 12:30 no problem.

 

Anyone know if D9 bottles are still available? Also any Coco Vibes left?

 

A late response, but D9 has been limited enough that it sold to people early in the line at open yesterday at the cellar and today at the brewery. Assume the same happened at the cellar today, and likely the same tomorrow at the brewery.

Coco Vibes made it to like 1:30 at the brewery and 3:30 at the cellar. I assume there’s more for tomorrow?

 

Both my buddies bailed on me...anyone want to split bottles tomorrow???

 

I was told there will be more at the brewery tomorrow when I asked around 220. Wish I had know the cellar had some ‍♂️

 

My gf scored a BBT Sunday ticket so we will try to get there around 11 am. We might be interested in splitting an on-site consumption bottle or two with anyone.

How's it looking today? Im planning on getting there at 3p. Is it one in one out kinda of busy? Will Coconut Vibes still be available? What about BBT?
