Side Project (2018)

Think I'm going to pass on this release, but if they have some to go later I may pick it up.

 

Looks like Base Weight got bottled, and will be available to go.

 

Limit of 1 on Open Spaces today if anyone was interested

 

Looking at doing what we have done the last 2 years, but doing it at both the brewery and The Cellar since we always ran into capacity issues and having to turn people away.

May only work with 3 or 4 roasters this year, but it will definitely be a good amount of BA Coffee Stouts .

 

I am making a trip out to St. Louis at the end of April. Looking at coming out a day early and spending some time at Side Project Cellar. Any word on releases around that point? I had Fuzzy last time I was in town. I would've had Anabasis, but I didn't have the time to enjoy 750mL of 14%. Is Anabasis pretty limited? Really hoping I can have one at the end of April.

Also, what's this Coffee Crawl deal?

EDIT: Googled it. That sounds like my sort of dream event. Stellar base beer with different coffee origins. Hope I can make it to that!

 

You should've had Anabasis. It probably won't be there by the end of April.

 

The Coffee Crawl is April 1st, not the end of April.


Cory doesn't give guidance too far out on a release unless there is a lot of beer. Watch the SP social media as your trip gets close. Chances are good there will be something released on our around your visit.

I definitely feel silly for passing on it, but with my schedule that day, I really couldn't dive into a heavy bottle like that as I only had about an hour to drink and get to my event

 

How have the Shared releases been? Driving to Tulsa on Friday and then to St. Louis on Saturday and would like to grab some cans. I see there is a can release Saturday. Should I expect a long line?

 

From what I read on the first release cans lasted until 1:30 but also had other beers being released. Also though, Narrow Gauge was releasing Zavtrak which might have affected the crowd size.

what was the limit and price? man batch 1 was my all time favorite ba barleywine, i see alot of FT, was there a large amount of bottles?

 

Where was the release announced? Didn't see it posted on twitter or Facebook

Anabasis 2 was listed to go

 

Limit of 1, $40, and it sold out in about 45 minutes with 2 people checking people out. I heard someone say it was only like 200 bottles, but no idea if that's true.

 

thanks! i know batch 1 was 250 or so. theres probably a good amount held back for onsite consumption too i'd imagine
