Was it a sell out? SP has been pretty good announcing when stuff is sold out, but nothing on this one.

Traditionally the ID checks have been once the line is gone it's done.

When we were at the bar later they were saying it was gone at 2:30, that would probably track with where the line was at when we got through

Hey everyone. Slightly off topic but I am hoping to come to Side Project for this year's Zwanze day. Is the event ticketed? Any info on it would be much appreciated.

Yes, tickets go quickly. Quickly as in they lasted maybe a minute each online batch. Last year they were $75

Side project noob question. I'll be in town for the release on the 22nd. Is it better to get bottles at the brewery tasting room or cellar? What are the pros/cons of each site? Thanks.

You'll need to line up at the brewery for the release bottles

On the blog post they mentioned that this one is at both the brewery and the cellar.

Brewery open at noon, cellar at 1 on Saturdays if that helps at all.

Styrbjørn tomorrow. "Styrbjørn is also our Double Barrel Aged Sour Quad that was brewed with Muscavado Sugar, Fermented in Red Wine and Bourbon Barrels with Raisins and aged for a year. Then, after a year, was racked to Port Barrels and finished on Plums with our local microflora." Have fun with Jeppe!

So is this a Sour Quad with Red Wine aged in bourbon barrels and port barrels? Or is there actually a third barrel?

Good question. I read it a second half aged in red wine, half in Bourbon, then mixed, and the new mixture aged in a third barrel.

I am curious what it actually is.

My interpretation for what it is worth:
1.) A sour quad fermented and aged for a year in:
1a.) Red wine barrels with raisins.
    1b.) Bourbon barrels with raisins.
2.) Those barrels blended together and racked to port barrels with plums and local microflora.

So red wine/bourbon is first barrel then port is second?

I really wanted to make this release. Guess I'll have to settle for next weekend. Hopefully they'll still have it for onsite.

I wanted to, but really just for a gift. I am about 2.5 hours south. But with work the way it is where I am at, I'd get about 3 hours sleep between two 13 hour work days that have just been destroying my body. So, I guess I am not going :/.

Anyone know the bottle count on this one? And thoughts for those who have had it?
