Side Project (2018)

Just FYI, still 6pp as of yesterday with PN7 selling out but Forever Friends now available.

 

Heading down for Zwanze, probably going to head over to the cellar Friday evening, let me know if anyone wants to split some stuff.

 

I've never been to side project or st louis for that matter, so forgive my ignorance. With the release of Fencerow on the 14th & 15th, I'm betting it probably won't hang around until the following weekend? I dont see a bottle count or anything. The wife and I will be visitng the 20-22 and would love to try and get some.

 

They used 4000 pounds of fruit, there’s probably a shit ton of it. Most releases have lasted at least two weeks at this point.


Nothing guaranteed, but it sounds like there’s a ton of it.

 

Noob question here. I can attend either side project release of fencecrow, but i am on vacation and have my dog with me and no one else can watch her. Is one locations line particularly easier to stand in line with the pup? and in a broader sense, is either location better/worse?

 

Any rumors or secret rumblings on what the BA stouts are they had on their instagram/fb/twitter?

 

I'd say go to the brewery if you have the pup with you. If they do sales out back then you'll never even have to worry about bringing the dog inside. Otherwise, both locations are good, though I do like that the cellar has non SP brew and good wine/whiskey if you are with non beer folks

 

I believe one will be through the wine and cheese place but could be mistaken, I think it was mentioned on their blog

 

They've done collabs with Cycle and 3 Sons, though 3 Sons wasn't that long ago I don't think.

 

The brewery is dog friendly. They are allowed inside. No dogs at the cellar.

 

PS there’s definitely a ton of Fencerow.

 

Any guesses at what will be on tap for the fencerow release? I know oude fermier was on at zwanze and fermier day. Wonder what the odds of its availability are.

 

It seems like everyone is going gaagaa over fencerow. As someone not in the know, would anyone care to explain?

 

It says right now fencecrow is available to go at the cellar. Is this true?

 

Though I haven't had this batch yet, the first 2 were excellent. Batch 1 was a few years ago and not a ton was sold, batch 2 was on premise only, so this is the first time in a while any has been available to go. Also, the fruited 375ml beers have historically been very well received in general.

For me the new batch is the best batch Fencerow - it was one of the top beers at Zwanze Day for me. Much more heavily fruited than previous versions.

Would guess there's no chance of Oude Fermier on site, the releases will probably be hectic enough and it was only a single case that got brought out for Zwanze.
