I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
    Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they're blowing
    As free as the wind
    And hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
    Has no way of turning
More than this - there is nothing
More than this - tell me one thing
More than this - there is nothing
It was fun for a while
There was no way of knowing
Like a dream in the night
Who can say where we're going
    No care in the world
    Maybe I'm learning
Why the sea on the tide
    Has no way of turning
More than this - there is nothing
More than this - tell me one thing
More than this - there is nothing

Thinking of making the trek to St. Louis for Black Friday weekend, how long should I be expecting to line up for the stout release(s) they're doing? We don't know the release details or time/date, but I don't want to fly down Friday AM and miss out already. Guess my question is more or less what were lines like for previous Derivation releases?

I don't think there has been a public release of Derivation in 2-3 years and I thought he said there wouldn't be another public Derivation release but I could be wrong.

I'm wondering if these are the collabs he did with Cycle and the one with 3 Sons.

Yea I wasn't expecting derivation, just trying to gauge the line and how early I need to show up

They didn't actually say Black Friday was the release for the BA stout, did they? I was hoping to do the Bourbon County release in Chicago, so would be a bummer if I had to choose one or the other.

I'm finally making the trip to Side Project.

Is it recommended to go to the Cellar, the Taproom, or both (I'll be in St. Louis all weekend).

Anything else I need to hit? Which Schlafly is recommended? I'm also going to Urban Chestnut, 2nd Shift, Perennial, Crane, 4 Hands, and Narrow Gauge (as well as Scratch in Ava, IL).

Thanks in advance. Feel free to PM me since I don't want to derail the thread.

One should only ever visit the Tap Room. Yet to meet anyone that has endorsed a visit to bottle works over the tap room. (I went once because they had Scotch Ale on tap while the tap room did not, and I was driving through and wanted...erm needed a growler of it. Did not enjoy the experience comparatively.)

I saw you mentioned Crane, you do know they are on the other side of the state right? Otherwise add modern, civil life, square 1, main n mill, and heavy riff if you have the time. Also, if going to scratch maybe consider a stop at white rooster too

I'm a moron. Forgot to filter cities and not just Missouri when I was looking to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks!

If you’re making the trip from St. Louis to Scratch (which I highly recommend) you gotta stop at White Rooster in Sparta, IL (depending on the way you take you’ll be going through Sparta anyway) I’d recommend it over a lot of the St. Louis breweries. They’re making some amazing beer.

Great, that's two for White Rooster. Thank you!

Does anyone have any advice to offer on whether SP Cellar or SP taproom?
