I paid $140 for my Fuzzy mag.

 

Yeah, but those were actually good beers.

 

So, were their other magnums released or just sponton?

 

I liked Spontan! Although it definitely isn't on the same level.

 

I paid $40 for an Arthur mag at HF... don't think I'd ever pay $150

 

Magnums are 1.5L, right? SpontanFerm was $20 for a 375ml to-go, available for a long time.

So $80 worth of beer plus a $60 conspicuous consumption upcharge, right?

Of all the stupid shit surrounding craft beer, magnums are one of the stupidest.

 

So I saw the tweet that next week is their stout week. Do they ever release a special bottle that week, or is it typically more so drinking onsite bottles? I'll be pretty bored that weekend, so I was thinking of making the trek.

 

You're right. I paid $70 for a Casey magnum and John, an employee, apologized profusely for the $10 glass upcharge. I sincerely love SP and continue to support them but the magnum prices are stupid!

 

I agree, the price is stupid and I'm not willing to pay it, but apparently other people are. If people are buying at that price than why not? You gotta make money while you can.

Every “whatever” week has always been on site only as far as I know.

 

Cool! I might still head down, but figured I'd see what the chances would be. I see their picture of Derivation and I'd love to be able to try one finally.

They are gone. I went up tonight to grab a couple and they were crossed off the board.

Yep and apparently sold out to first 15 or so people in line.

On site. If they were to go the trade groups would be flooded.
