I've been wanting to try these beers since the release, and am thinking of getting my hands on the (first) set. Does anyone have any input on the caliber needed to get these brews? It is throwing down a Cable Car level, or would a SARA or Crooked Stave get this done? Any input is appreciated.
I got rare + bramble essentially for one origin, and 2013 geneology of morals and cthulhu for another origin. I have seen the set trade for blaeber when it first came out. I also traded two saison du fermiers for cali and regular hunahpu
I traded my three beer set for a 750 of Blaeber. After I closed that deal, I got three other offers: (1) Isabelle Proximus, (2) Framboos +, and (3) Malvasia Rosso.
The first set had three bottles: - Brett Project 1 - The Origin - Saison Du Fermier BP#1 was 50 bottles, Origin was 186 bottles, and SDF was something like 472 (I forget the exact count). BP #1 and Origin had a one bottle limit, and SDF had a two bottle limit (though they did sell third bottles to a few people). Basically, the release was announced a few weeks in advance, and people drove in from neighboring states to line up. A few people lined up the Friday before, most lined up super early on Saturday. Basically, if not on there, by 5 or 5:15 AM, you got no BP#1. --- Set two was a more or less silent release, where Cory hinted strongly at when the event would be, and then confirmed it on a St Louis beer site the night before release. I got to the brewery about two hours before the release, and I was basically the first person there. On the other hand, three of the four beers sold out within about an hour and half after opening. The last one sold out I think an hour after that. The beers in set 2: - Brett Venture #1 with Lacto (this is just a name change from Brett Project, but lacto was added) - Brett Venture #2 - Brett Venture #2 with Lacto - Saison de Blu Those first three bottles had a six bottle limit, and de Blu had a 12 bottle limit. If you have any more questions, let me know.
