What are bottles of Black and Wild going for? I saw a lot of ISOs but didn't really see anything concrete. Thank you!

Factor that it's Side Project. And a 180-something count release.

I got lucky at release time with a generous trader who parted with it for an 8:1 offer I posted and extended to 12:1 to do it in person at the weekend Fuzzy release. (You can check my thread history for particulars)

Recently at the local board I was fortunate to have another guy take me up on a similar type of 10:1 trade.

So as with most uber limited whales, either bulk up your quantity of good quality, or be prepared to part with an equally limited bottle or two. Also it just takes the right set of eyes. /captainobvious

I will add that it is absolutely, without any doubt, worth ALL efforts you can exhaust to acquire and drink this beer. I'm literally salivating thinking about it.

    GL bro.

I traded a Lente for one. Horrible decision.

For the most part, trading a Lente is probably not a good decision.

Jesus. Things are getting ridiculous if you have to offer up a 10:1 for a dark sour that is probably marginally better than Consecration or Supplication. I wouldn't say that he was "generous".

Well I didn't mention that he added another big want as an extra to his end, so yes, I would consider him parting with his only bottle of the low count release for a bunch of things that would be acquirable for less rarity as generous. Might I have gotten it for a bottle or two less? Perhaps. But we now talk on the regular so I'm very comfortable going forward with the friendship we've now established. Same thing goes with the second guy I traded a bulk combo to. When we met in person he offered to let me know when future releases are available, as rumor is going that they'll be silent releases from now on, and that he'd be glad to help out if he can. He too threw in a nice treat as an extra.

If/when you get to try this beer, let me know how significant that 'marginal' difference truly is. I'm quite certain it is noticeable.

Still, if you're going off of shelf stuff instead of rarity you're putting a dollar amount of greater than $100-150 on a bottle of a beer mainly due to a low bottle count. I've had a handful of the beers in the series but none of them have been life altering (sadly the case with many whalish bottles).

Why? Not sure about your bottle, but the bottle I got was effing amazing. I traded Deviation for B&W plus Fuzzy (as was generously extra'd an SdF).

I've got a trade in progress for this.

    The initial trade was:
    black and wild, fuzzy, fermier
    for
assassin, jd cake, backyard and the Siberian set

We expanded a bit but the B&W was my 'big' want & I'm very happy to have found it. Coincidentally, the person I'm trading with is someone I met at the recent Abraxas reservation event. I liked him very much then so trading with him is just another +, imo.
