Shots fired. If you were at an event that you were "75th in line" and somehow ended up being the "130th person in line" please see me, I'm easy to find. Name's Eric. Easy the find. Do my best to keep quiet on this thread, but yeah, that shit ain't accurate.

Wasn’t firing shots. Just my experience. But thanks, I will definitely keep this in mind next time I’m down there.

I thought the LC party was great. Came down for Saturday night from Chicago with a friend. Was an opportunity to try a lot of things I'd never had, a few things I'd had and loved. Left without being able to try everything I'd have wanted to. Never actually cracked our share beers or had anyone else's, the share seemed like an afterthought because there was so much great beer to get at SP. We had an overall really fun night.

A bit crowded, but what can you do. Having the well-heated tent outside made that a minimal gripe anyways.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t these cans of CSV and Morning Vibes already available on Tavour? I can’t seem to find any ratings for them.

Unfortunately I don’t think anything is going to fix that beer. It’s also been my experience that time does not make bad beers better.

This definitely happens. At the old school garage releases at the brewery people (and it’s always the same ones) would show up with about 15-20 minutes to open and go up to friends like they were saying hi and then just kind of post up there like that was their spot in line and ignore the fact that others had been waiting for 2.5 - 3 hours.

I tend to agree - but I already knew it was meh a year ago - i figured a little time couldn't hurt.

Yeah to deny that this happens is insane to me. This happened to any hype brewery that had lines hours before selling the beer. RARELY was line cutting enforced.

Apparently this just needed to be brought to the attention of Eric, The clicker/door/line guy

People need to talk shit sometimes

.When this kinda stuff happens it happens because people are afraid of confrontation, but fuck these little privileged assholes. It's infuriating .

    Re D Grand Cru:

No doubt some people like this beer, but given the inconsistencies in opinion, it is kind of perplexing that they decided to name this beer DGC. They could have called it anything else and I don’t think that it would feel like a let down, but given the name…

I don’t know how many people tried this beer before bottling/naming, but there is no way some of the people that tried it didn’t say, “hey, this doesn’t work for me. Maybe we should get more opinions.”

I bought like 2 each about a month ago.
I'm surprised that they were on the La Coterie side of the website. Thats the first I've seen where something was posted on Tavour and then later as a LC member purchase. Figured they'd make it available to the general sales vs LC

What happened to getting a count of where you are in line and
Why not take a picture of the line when you arrive and then if it swells in front of you, bring it to the attention of SP before the doors open.

I guess it's been so long since i've stood in a line that I thought that bush-league stuff was a thing of the past.
I used to go up and begin counting each person out loud so they could see I was keeping an eye on them. It's a little passive aggressive, but it alerts them that people are watching.

Pretty sure the Cellar 10th anniversary was available
At the cellar, and it was 2023s 10 yr barleywine that was $10 more at the La coterie party. Two different beers.

Can confirm two different beers. The on site bottle at The Cellar was the Cellar 10th Anni BW. It was $70, and the first beer I had that day. It's a fantastic beer too. Also had the SP 10th Anni BW at the LC party and it was $80.
