Off to a good start imo. The dedicated LC only series is an interesting addition

Now they needed to make it a dedicated LC barleywine

Single Thread is also a LC only series.

Guessing these will replace Single Thread considering they didn't do one last year.

There was one according to Rachel, it just never carbonated that they were hoping…She said at one of the Library Tastings that they were hoping it’d be ready by the time LC 2024 ended, but guess not…so maybe it gets released this year.

They released it once a year starting in 2020 I believe, they were wonderful! Heavy on the fruit

gotcha, i guess i was assuming you wouldnt name a new series after the number of bottles released for a given LC year and not release at least a few. The first one is interesting to me at least, would be all for more small batch/experimental beers under this label/series

Hasn’t a stout been the first LC beer of the new cycle for at least the last 3ish years at least??

It looks like they might be following a model closer to SARA for membership beers. Half are exclusive and the other half are also released to the public.

I got a 3 Sons membership this year. Same price as LC. I’ve already received 1 of the 6 included BA stouts in the membership. Early access to their first BA stout release of the year, and access to their BA 6th anniversary stout which was in person only. Just wanted to let y’all know

Yup! That’s how most of these memberships work except for LC.

I am shocked at the number of people who were seemingly held at gunpoint and forced to sign up for this membership.

Yeah it is pretty crazy that people want value out of their membership.

La Coterie is not and never has been a dark beer only membership. All of the included beers have always been farmhouse ales.

I don't know why anyone would sign up for the club expecting it to be similar to a membership where you prebuy the stout releases for the year when it has never been that

Sure, there's truth to that, but, I think a lot of the complaints come from the fact that LC doesn't even get ACCESS to a lot of the dark beers, and if they do, it's a complete free for all except for the rare exception.

Believe the main/original post is more so that we've now known that there will be on-site releases we don't get access to for 2 years now. If you signed up again after knowing this, it seems odd to continue to bvtch on here.

Also they've acknowledged the free for all and fixed for this year. Just for reference.
