Sound Cycle vol 2 is pretty cognac forward as opposed to apple brandy

The case + LC discount is really one of the best deals of being an LC member. 40% off is great.

Uprooted sounds great. Basically a stronger BdP with meadowfoam and a little ginger according to the description.

    And back to sold out.

I'd certainly prefer it to lean that way. So, how was it overall?

2 is kinda like for the cellar.

I dont like 1 at all. Too much dark fruit, not in a good way.

So I had planned on opening one tonight anyway before reading this. Generally I hate dark fruit, but I don’t hate this. I wouldn’t buy another one, but it’s enjoyable. More viscous than anticipated.

Weird to see Cory hate on his own beer. Brad must have taken the lead on this one.

The weather forecast for this weekend is brutal. Looks like weather channel shows a high of 17 on Sunday with the garage release. My tolerance for standing outside to wait for bottles will be limited regardless of bottle. What a shitty time of year to lineup outside. I haven’t lined up for any brewery release other than cellar anny week since COVID. This can't be fun for anyone.

I really hope that there is very little disagreement among everyone - including SP and LC members - that the plan for the LC parties this year kind of blows. Just the idea of needing tents and heaters should be enough to rethink the plan. Yea, it is done, but I’m not sure there are many people in 2024 (compared to, say, 2014-2019) that get excited about such a prospect.

For those that go, hopefully there are few enough people that you do not NEED to be in the tents outside. Stay safe and warm, everyone.

BKS did an in-person release over a year ago. I said "nah, not dealing with that."

Then they poured all those beers a year later in their tap room. Glad I waited.

I won't be making it to STL for the LC party. I was informed we're going to STL in February for a day, details pending, and that'll probably be enough interstate time for me for awhile. I'm not completely sold on the LC party being of value to me this time of year, though I will be refreshing this thread to see what beers I didn't know about that I missed out on trying.

Yeah, this is dumb and possibly I am for attending hahaha. Unfortunately I feel this is a way to drive business during a typically slow period for the business. I’ll be at the party and hopefully it’s not very crowded. I was super confused why they waited so long to announce a party and I thought last year timing wise was much more ideal. Hopefully they change for next year.

Have they said what the garage release on Sunday is going to be? I'm assuming With Brad?

This is exactly why they did it, seems like there are tickets left for every session as well.

Open Spaces hype! It's one of my favorite styles of beer, and a great example of it
