Renewal emails as well as For LC info have hit the inboxes. By posting this I’m hopeful they’ll ban me from LC per the terms they’ve included at the bottom of the email.

It's in the actual La Coterie webshop, alongside For LC 2026

Just a mysterious picture of the bottle that says "Coming Soon." It's listed for $0.00 and if you click into the product page the only description is "Your first La Coterie 2026 included bottle...coming soon!"

Smart move by them to tease this out right in the renewal window (and I'm here for it :sunglasses:)

Anyone cracked BA marble lions yet? Only 16 ratings on Untappd which surprises me.

I was lucky enough to have a little taste at the brewery on the day they were bottling it. It's very, very solid. The barrel helped mute the banana (a plus for me), but it was still there.

I can’t even remember now which LC year it’s a part of but if it’s 2025 then With Knox gets my vote. That beer was special.

    Two questions:
    1) Is For LC showing up as no longer available in checkout for others? Seems hard to believe there wouldn’t be enough stock and they set the limit at 2.
    2) Does the LC sign up go longer than advertised? I really only want to sign up if my friend gets an invite, which presumably wouldn’t come until after they see how many open spots there are.

I just checked and For LC is in stock still, added to my cart no problem

Other tidbits at the end of Cory's new video...

    Collabs coming soon:
    - A collab with Xul and Other Half (2 separate collabs, or the same thing...?)
    - A couple collabs with Evil Twin
    - Barrels "coming to maturity" this year from The Vail, a barleywine -and- a stout
    - Barrels from Xul/Abridged

I’m not falling for this again. I was frustrated with the membership and prepared to quit last year and then a bunch of teasers right at renewal time and I forked over a few hundred bucks only to be bummed about how everything was a $100+ package or on site only release. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice…

They don't invite new members until they see how many existing members renew.

I didn't have everything but favorites this year were:

    1. A collab out of Angry Chair-Super Rad 2025 Caviar Cowboy. I was fortunate to be at the Dark Embrace event and I think I went back for this one 3x
    2. Bubble Wrap. I still think about this beer from time to time. All the flavors blended well together and it was enjoyable in a chill kinda way. I'm not sure how else to describe it.
    3. With Tarpey. I loved the chocolate notes from the grains, the vanilla and barrel character were fantastic.

I'm thankful for the two week window to decide. Very much on the fence for renewing.

If it's the two recent Great Northern Barrel Aged Series 55/56, then those went on sale already through Evil Twin, Tavour, etc.

Unless SP is going to release others, their version(s) under their label design.

Definitely took it to mean a SP version release.

Speaking of Xul: that’s a membership that has apparently speedran turning into LC in a two month period.

Previous four years we’ve gotten every malty bottle (except for the stuff released for Kill the Lights) usually at 2/3pp.

It’s looking like members are about to get skipped for the fourth bottle in a row this year. Huge contrast to prior years, especially since early access was still advertised as a selling point. There’s supposed to be a SP collab coming out there later this year/early next year too.

That's shitty - I'd say there's gotta be a breaking point sooner or later, but I thought that two years ago.

That sucks, so they're basically not doing "early access" sales to the members for much besides the mixtapes these days...?

Full disclosure, I just joined this year. Been thinking about it for years, and now they've got two outposts in my backyard. Am generally a big fan of Xul, and I'm glad to get the four guaranteed stouts included. That's already a better value than, ahem, some other $200+ memberships.

But yeah that's whack if the members used to get the right-of-first-refusal on all the other non-included malty brews as well. And, suddenly ... they're not anymore.

I saw they're dropping the new batch of BA In Death at both of the Grist (RIP, kinda) taprooms in Nashville, and not giving members the first shot at it. I thought Ahhh well they're just trying to drum up interest for the "new" taprooms. But if that's already been an ongoing trend, that's a big bummer!

Side note, pending limits pp, I'm happy to snag a couple extra at the release on Saturday. Just planning to get one for myself.
