I'm happy to be in LC for the long haul. Given the time it takes barrels to age and mature and my palate shifting away from sours towards stouts (for SP's stuff, at least), I think there's potential for it to get even better. (And as a local, I think it's great now.) Fingers crossed that including one Derivation is a sign of the stout volume being significantly higher than a year or two ago. I don't see them going full Perennial and having everyone prepay $500 for 10-12 BA stouts, but maybe it gets to be closer to that.
Or it's malty beers sitting for months on the webpage, and now they can move some of that allocation to pre-paid purchases (membership.)
Yeah because that’s what matters in a beer membership you’re paying for lol you’re the exact customer SP is looking for they’ve literally monetized your hope. Love it it’s never going to actually get better until you vote with your wallet.
Yeah - I bailed after 2 years - me and my friend both had a membership - I didn't think we needed two (especially since 80% of these bottles go out to the public ultimately anyway). I can still get what I want I think, and we pretty much share everything anyway.
Question: Anyone try the Evil Twin Great Northern #55 collab stout? It seems any collabs with SP never fare well when they aren’t the primary brewer.
Just had both 2026 csv and nitro csv. The nitro is so ridiculously good skipping the BA is an option if you can get it. Or just do both
I have not enjoy a single nitro can I’ve purchased in the past. Which is a shame cause CSV was my favorite side project beer years ago. I did buy a BACSV bottle yesterday so we will see how that goes.
