Hello all, I have a question about the side project releases. I am not from the area but my sisters ex roommate is doing me the favor of heading to the brewery for the release to try and get some la fosse. My question is I dont know what to tell him what to expect. Are these releases like an all out mad rush or is there more than enough to go around. Not sure if he can make it there exactly at the time of release that is why I ask. So if he cant get there in time I dont want him to waste his time. Thank you for all you help in advance!

Another question is...do they have bottles regularly available at the brewery/taproom?

If he can't be there by 4 when the doors open hes probably out of luck. Normally I'd say he could show up a little late but since this release was announced a little early I'm sure the crowd will be large. I could be wrong though

I was there maybe 2 months ago. They had an amazing selection of bottles but it was on-site only. No take homes.

Was there for a coffee crawl this weekend where they had several awesome coffee brews plus Side Project's normally available bottles on site... from what I gather they only randomly allow bottles to be taken off site and they normally do not make an announcement much in advance to keep the crowds down. Its a rather small space pretty close to a residential and they hinted at having troubles controlling bottle shares in the parking lot and some complaints in the past. He said they might put something on twitter the day before or day of when they do allow bottles for off site sales.

Most of the bottle sales are done at Perennial, not the Side Project Cellar. The bottles that have been sold "to go" at the cellar are usually in good supply and not the super sought after ones (no lines, etc) The city of Maplewood probably wouldn't be super cool with a release done at the cellar that was like the ones done at Perennial.
