Yes, all go regularly except one and he goes 2-3 times a year (and posts ITT regularly) as it’s a 7+ hour drive.

The Instagram guys I know with large followings that are in or got in all fly in to STL a couple times a year to visit as well and love Side Project.

 

Congrats to them, they earned it. I just feel that there are people that did not earn it. I can't fault anyone who was issued an invitation and didn't accept it. Guess I just need to up my DSLR game and find myself a sugar momma.

 

I'll loan out my DSLR and speedlights/softboxes if you split the bottles with me.

 

I'm gonna need the instruction booklet too. Thanks!

 

It's cool. Over the next 12 months there will be 2-4 times as many bottles up for sale/trade as this past year. Price will fall 5-10%.

Sometimes I wonder if I posted my photography work, if I'd get more good beer. There is a photographer in town who does a lot of promo shots for breweries. He's also on the beer trading forums and slinging some heavy weight bottles. Makes me wonder if they're gifts for his work. Some of the SP promo stuff has his influence too.

 

But is my OWK vial still worth $200?

I realized after I posted that the numbers of bottles available won't impact you. WI doesn't have much to trade for SP whales, and you already said you're store doesn't get the high allocated Bourbon. Best you can hope for is to drive down, fight the masses, and slum it with the rest of us plebs.

 

I guarantee people are getting free stuff for their efforts. Shit, I get plenty of free stuff for the highly insignificant shit I do for my vendors. It's all a game.

My experience with getting into LC this year:

I’ve visited 6 times since October 2018. Zero social media activity. Every visit has been for 2-3 days of drinking a lot, like practically open to close a lot, and buying a lot to go. I’ve always chatted up the staff and most of them know me or at least recognize me when I’m there now. They also know I’m from Atlanta which is a long way to come see them. Erica was the one that told me to send in my name and that they wanted me to be in LC. I feel like I deserved it.

 

They blew it right around 5pm last night, nice surprise for their "grand reopening" after the renovations. Thicket b2 was also on draft and has really mellowed out into something great, had it like 6 months ago at their Beer and Bites event during craft beer week and couldn't believe how much better it was since release.
