I totally get that, but I wish they would put it on the PN11 page somewhere that there was a limit, and refunds would happen if you disobey the limit or something like that instead of assuming everyone saw the IG post but the sale site doesn't have that info on it

 

yeah, i get that. i feel kind of bad for them. it’s like a no-win situation right now. their whole business model has been turned inside out and they’re still trying to make their very sought after beer available to the public and what do they get for it? shit on by social media trolling asshole beer nerds.

 

I purchased multiple bottles. With how fast these sell out I don’t check the IG post, only the shop info. With BACSV it said the limit on the shop. I’m going to be really disappointed if they don’t let me keep a bottle since I feel like I was following the precedent they have set.

Edit: I emailed the shop explaining my reason for buying multiples and they responded and let me keep one.

 

in a way, you could argue that their beer has never been more accessible to the masses than it is right now. online sales with proxies allowed. that gets their beer into a much wider audience than it did having releases at the brewery. doesn’t personally help me but i guarantee you it helps a lot more than it hurts.

 

Agreed, 100% on that point and your previous one about it being a no-win situation.

If it's local only, there are logistics issues and inventory takes longer to sell. If it's a lottery, they're encouraging re-sellers. An auction maximizes revenue, but flips the bird to lower income customers.

Given the money they've lost from stopping cellar and walk-up business, the fact that they're still trying to discern a fair way to do these releases is more than they owe us.

 

I think the simple solution is to make it clear in advance that there is a limit and if you don’t follow it you get nothing. Having to figure out the limit when your heart is racing just trying to get the purchase through is not a good idea.

I was lucky enough to get one on the 2nd drop @12:02pm. I was making breakfast tacos on the stove and checking it off & on, LoL. Talk about dumb luck after refreshing the website from 10:15am-11:30am
