I officially retract my "I hope we never find out what the gold wax is" stance. Very excited for that!

Wasn't there a 3 Sons/Side Project collab that was announced a couple of years ago? Haven't heard anything about that in a long time. I remember a mention of it on twitter.

There was. Last I heard from the 3 Sons side of things, it's just sitting in barrels waiting for Cory to decide it's ready.

Maybe a dumb question but can somebody tell me what the main difference is between Raspe and FdF?

FdF is a fruited saison du fermier. Raspe is a raspberry wild ale.

All the white label 375ml beers like Raspe/Fuzzy/La Fosse/Smooth are aged in foeders. I think they almost exclusively use Foeder Crafters which is Missouri oak. SdF and fruited versions are always wine barrel aged. Cory doesn’t really specify wine barrel provenance except for the more niche releases. American vs French oak is something they seem to like to experiment with, although I think the nuances are probably not discernible when fruit is nvolved. CdC b2 will be a good example of extended American oak aging. I’ve gone off topic here...

I feel like the saison vs american wild ale is a cleaner distinction since a number of the saison & white labels have also switched to folder aged. I'm curious if we'll ever see Foeder Fermier again - I haven't revisited b2 recently but b1 has aged quite nicely.

I hate the term "wild ale"...anyone else? Such a catch all.

not too much different than Black Ale/Dark Ale, Strong Ale, etc.. sometimes you need those catch alls. also, it’s better than “Sour Ale” or just “Sour” which are NOT beer styles.

I was going to say "Coex Blauw is going pretty slowly", but turns out I haven't checked it since the IG post actually went up - down to ~160 bottles
