I really enjoyed this years release

 

There’s a 99% chance BBT weekend won’t happen the way it did the last two years.

 

And this makes me irrationally sad.

I think it’s a real possibility they don’t reopen fully until late spring or early summer of next year. I applaud them for taking the virus as seriously as they have, and there’s no way they will go back to doing big events or releases before the situation is significantly better.

An idea I had was they could continue the online sales for all releases, but start to phase in very limited on-site business by reservation only at some point. I don’t think they will be able to just flip the switch back on all at once.

Reservation/time slot is great idea. The issue for them is size. The tasting room is essentially a pack & ship and bottle staging area for online orders.

Also I can tell you from experience being open during this mess is a huge pain in the ass. The extra care/steps required (rightfully so, don’t get me wrong) combined with having to enforce regulations Is a daily struggle. Some people treat my staff like we put the mask/ distancing mandate in place.

If my business model could get by on just online retail I would too.

This shouldn’t bother me as much as it does.
I got two emails the first sale seconds apart bc I hit refresh at checkout after 5 mins of spinning. I wanted to vomit worried that anyone would get the impression I was trying to get more than one and being selfish.
